I love all the stats! Hearing about your short story reading made me go look at how many SS collections I read. I thought it had been a lot, but I only read 6!!
The Moonstone is soooo good!! I do think you might like it. I don’t know how you will get on with Great Expectations 😂but you never know!! Abel Magwitch is my fave character from that book. I just always have a one in one out on my faves shelves. You can only re-read so many anyhoos. Just be kind to yourself and have faith you will make them fit 💪❤ You have some excellent goals Jen 😊
@@CharlieBrookReads I know you really like The Moonstone so I'm hoping I do too 😊🤞 One of the reasons why I thought Great Expectations may be a Dickens that I like is because it's first person narration which I always far prefer. One in, one out on the shelves makes logical sense but is also terrifying 😱
Yes, I also struggled to read my own stuff because my library has so many great things! I'd like to read Great Expectations but I agree, gotta be in the right mood.
I'll be reading The Moonstone in November or December (probably November) this year if you'd like to join me. I totally get that you need to be in the mood to read Classics, so if that doesn't work out, I understand...but the invitation is open. As for Wuthering Heights, if you are open to doing it on audio, there is an EXCELLENT audiobook of it, narrated by Joanne Froggatt. It is one of, if not the, best audiobooks I've ever listened to.
@@awebofstories thanks for the recommendation! I'll see if I can get my hands on the audio and maybe do a mix of reading/listening. November/December sounds like a good time of year for The Moonstone so that'd be great 😊

@@toweringtbr I'm hoping the mood hits me this year!
I really enjoyed hearing you talk stats, good luckwith your endeavours this year. I’m not setting any goals this year just going free fall!
@@Dottiemi thank you! I think going free fall is probably the wisest move!
I’m hosting a bronte Readathon in March if that helps with the bronte books. I love following you on StoryGraph 😊
@@novellenovels thanks Emily, I will have to read one of my Brontë books then to join in 🥰
Good luck with your classic tbr! I read loads in 2023, bought loads, then have fallen out of the habit of reading them 😅
@@ReadingNymph I'm always intimidated by classics but I can enjoy them if I make an effort 😅
Yay for doing the challenge again! And I think you have retained your title of DNF Queen 👸 for another year.
