@@Aitelly well in such a short time you and your team made one of the best videos I've ever seen on the subject and I've certainly Seen alot haha. Driving down to California as we speak. 😃🍁🍁
This is a great video, and well produced! It mentioned crews building a "fire line", now you need one talking about what the wildfire crews do, what a fire line actually is, what it does, and why they are not working on the California fires. 😊
This is amazing. I was curious on how scooper plane pick up water that fast the other day and couldn’t find any images of the scoops, and this video came out right away to answer my question. Thank you and amazing work!
With your logic, the Royal Canadian Air force is not Canadian, but rather American, and while we are at it, we can also say about a quarter of the Canadian army is also American.
Well this is very informative and pointing the mismanagement of water supply in such geographical areas where hot temperature ; drought and severe menace to the natural environnement. ! Kudos to the soldiers of fire!
I was watching those Scoopers on Flight Radar 24. Those pilots were hauling ass on the dives back to the ocean and got up to 231 mph/371kmh. Google said they max out at 223mph or 359kmh
Thank you and thank you for your effort in preparing the video and the explanations and useful information. I hope you will prepare a video for us about a Russian and Ukrainian soldier who fought with hand and knife.
My main concern is how to survive all of these financial and political crisis, especially in light of the US political power scuffle. The government has really called things more difficult for its citizens, and we can't sit back and bear all the consequences of the bad governance.
I'm glad you made this video, I can recall when I was homeless and faced with many things in Life until $75,000 biweekly began rolling in and my Life went from A homeless nobody to a different person with good things to offer!!!!!!❤️
While I appreciate the effort put into making the 3D animations, I noticed the audio for the Super Scooper is similar if not almost verbatim as some of the lines from the Business Insider video on this same airplane from 3 years ago.
Fighting fires on the ground is one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in the world! Please hire more than two of these super scoupers guys BEFORE it gets out of control!!!!!!! Canadian planes are idle in the winter when this beautiful part of the world is most vulnerable. Had the heroes on the ground received more of this kind of air support in the opening hours of the fire things would be very different.
The two super scoopers you had at the start of these fire have been leased from Canada part of a 35 year old agreement their is approx. 6 more been sent since then.
The Situation would have been much, much different,if the home owners would have had their Own Back up Water Tanks on the property... They should have had 4-10,One Thousand Gallon Water tanks, plus,an Industrial Water Pump, and a water Hose, that could reach the front, and back of their home.. This would have bought them enough time for the fire department to arrive,or for the fire to past their area... They should also have 4-8,twenty pound Fire extinguishers for interior use.. This will become a necessity now... No insurance companys will insure this area after this... You are on your own... The cost to do this is peanuts, compared to your potential loses..
@@cleofuss-el-junkie exactly my thoughts, decentralized fire fighting system must be in place to give common folks a fighting chance till the reinforcement arrives! 👍🏻
so blame the home owners who are paying the taxes and not the corrupt city government for not having the water supply ready that the taxpayers paid for..Also for canceling the big planes that could have established a fire line cause they stole the money.
We don’t live in a world where rich people take risks seriously. No need. The government works for them. They will be just fine. The working poors tax dollars will rebuild their multi million dollar homes and we’ll do it again in 5 years. Just like fossil fuel companies and their massive government socialism paid by our taxes to cause these scenarios to happen more frequently and more severely.
99% of the Canadian air force consist of planes that originate in America, does this mean the royal Canadian air force is owned by America? Of course not, while the planes originate from America, the Canadian Air force is Canadian and is owned by Canada. Same logic can be applied to calfire, Canadian planes, but American pilots, American crews, American ground crews, American maintainers, American people all around, as far as I see it, these are American planes.
@@GPH9089 no, their literally owned and operated by Quebec government, or to be specific the Service Aérien Gouvernemental. Calfire does not own or operate any CL-415 super scoopers. Most CL-415 are operated by Canadian or European forest fire services. Only 10 are owned by US companies or services. The CL-415 currently helping to fight the fires in LA are from Quebec, with planes from Ontario and BC also on the way.
@GPH9089 not a chance you guys are still using firetrucks to do what our wildland firefighters do every year. We know the difference between structured and wildland
The main limitation for carrying water is not the volume available inside the aircraft, but rather the weight. As you can see even the super scooper mentioned in the video only fills around a fifth of its cargo volume with water because anything more than that and it will be too heavy to take off. Water is extremely dense and heavy and passenger aircrafts such as the A380 will not be the most ideal aircraft for the job. Military aircrafts designed to load tanks will do a far better job, examples of such are the Martin Lockheed C5 Galaxy, and the Antonov AN-124.
@@edscorsese, it is an opinion and a poor one at that. The first day of the fire had high winds over 100 mph. At that speed, even firefighters say they can only observe. There is no stopping a hurricane that is on fire, and no firefighting aircraft could fly in that condition. 8000 structures were on fire almost immediately. each structure needed 3 engines. no fire department has 24000 fire engines just sitting around in one place, good management of a water system could not keep up with that amount of usage.
@@ccaptorchen 8000 structures were on fire immediately is a stretch. I agree that the 100mph winds did not help at all. What also didn't help was the empty reservoir above the palisades was empty for a year. That's inexcusable. I'm not saying that that would have stopped the devastation, but it sure as hell would of helped enormously. Discussions about mismanagement often point to broader issues, such as long-term forest management strategies, urban planning in fire-prone areas, and preparedness infrastructure. While no system could have fully mitigated the damage in this specific scenario, addressing these factors can help reduce risks and improve responses in the future. Even the fire chief says she was let down. Newsome has started an investigation. I guess we'll see.
Did they park the 747 also someday they should have a C5 Galaxy or a 380 AirBus. A B36 or B52 now that is a bomber. Why not use the Air Tractor Crop duster we have these in Nevada and they can get on a small fire faster that the big planes or be there until the big ones get there?
It would be awesome if they could figure out how to fill the tanks of the 747 without the need to land as well. It would make it a much more effective fire fighting apparatus. They should special build a new aircraft as big as the MARS allowing the pilots to drop larger amounts of water per drop and returning must faster.
