Peter J, Most people advice not say you like to travel. Its interesting that you say different. I recently applied and have been asked to do the video assessment, in 5 days. Do you recommend I do the video interview in my AA uniform issued for Piedmont Airlines or wear something other that is professional? Any advice will help.

These tips were right on! My first interview was a group interview where we were asked to do all the things you said. Working as a team, public speaking in front of the group, being observed, asking why we wanted to be a Flight Attendant,etc. Great advice Stella and presented in a professional and personable way!

Mine is tomorrow and I'm sooo nervous. I drove up from my home state to where the interview is based! I have a teeny-tiny nose ring (you can't really see it when i put makeup on) and my tongue is pierced so I'm guessing those are going to have to come out and I can hope for the best in the holes remaining open! Lol but I'm soooo ready. My discreet snack of choice is a ziplock baggy of shelled pistachios and I'm going to have a kombucha on hand to drink. I have my black dress and my red lippie (couldn't find my creme coloured Calvin Klein blouse to wear with my black skirt) and of course my favorite pair of jet black stilettos and one of my most comfy along with 4 copies of my resume! I'm excited! I think I'm ready. Only worried about parking and my piercings at this point.

Snack is so important, no cellular phone and wear a dress that stands out. An applicant showed up in a mustard color pencil dress and she looked amazing. She was offered on the spot.

A clear polish can prevent runs from forming so it can save your nylons. Also i would recommend to take 20 den nylons for ladies they are more durable from those with a less den number.

I love these videos! The thing I always bring to f2f's is an extra pair (OK, 2,ha!) of pantyhose. That way if I get a run, no biggie!

Those scenario questions are crazy scary. I mean I think they're a bit unfair because they are actual flight attendant questions and of course as a never before flight attendant, you wouldn't know how to answer them accurately. Uh!! Hardest part ever lol❤

just in time for my interview!! I will definitely use these tips😉 now I am wondering if my airline would cover my living expenses for that 5 weeks of training. I don't think I can afford to live in a hotel for 5 weeks😂
For my airline training was not paid. They did provide hotel and transportation to the training center and food on campus for the 6.5 weeks we were there. It was a little rough but you get through it :)

I have a question regarding the way someone have to dress to the interview. For the women, do you recommend to have the hair up in a ponytail or down??

Hey! You should definitely have your hair up. When I went to my f2f all the girls had their hairs up or in a ponytail! Have a great interview

I'd like to ask you something and I'm sorry if it sounds a little bit silly but I was wondering what does the term "leg" mean in this flight attendants world 😜 Thank you again and I'm sorry for my bad english ;)
"Leg" for us means one flight. So I can fly JFK to ORD (1 Leg), then ORD to DFW (2 Legs). A two leg day isn't so bad but three legs is really a long and hard day for us. No questions are silly, I'm happy to help if I can :)

I love it!!!! Still hoping to receive another chance at any kind of interview. Would you be willing to watch a video of my faking a couple of questions to give me feed back on what I should work on. I've had 2 video interviews and I guess I bombed both of them because I didn't move on to f2f.
Sure! Send me your video on messenger here. The thing with the video interview is that you have to treat it exactly like a face to face interview. From the moment you start it they are recording (even during the pauses). You have to dress and look exactly like you would for the F2F. And its very important that your background is not distracting, your in a quite environment and you're not eating or drinking anything during it.

im just a guy 65, private pilot. i would agree, dont say you want to travel the world. if you do, join the navy..... everyone likes to travel and "walks on the beach". ..my daughter is applying. she can say also i like aircraft and how they operate,etc.
Hey! So I just had my f2f with American.ive been reading some blogs saying if you are not finger printed then consider you did not get hired.or when they walk you out one by one you either go into another room or walked to the shuttle.does this mean I did not get it? Oh the suspense is killing me! Haha
Stella, I have a f2f interview in 2 weeks. I chose to fly the day before and I'm curious. Do I need to wear my interview outfit on that flight? Just in case someone is watching lol. Also when I arrive to the interview will I have to have my carry on with me the entire time? Or will there be a place to put it
I've been to 3 flight attendant interviews and just letting you know, do NOT say that you want to travel the world if you are asked why you want to be a flight attendant. At my first interview for a major international airline my interviewer specifically said "besides traveling and meeting new people". Of course people still probably get hired by saying they like to travel, but anyone out there who's desperate for a job, start thinking of real true reasons besides traveling that might be impressive to an employer

Hope all is well. I just started watching your videos and find them extremely helpful. I recently applied for united airlines and got a video interview. I did it about a week ago. Waiting to get a response the email they sent me with the link for the video interview stated that it will be about 2 to 6 weeks for a response. From what you said in this video it sounds like it's a long hiring process. Is this time window normal? Can't wait for your input. You're amazing for all the insight you do give. I love that you're Mexican/American I am too.
Yes it takes so long for every little step in the hiring process. Be patient :) it took me 8 months after my video interview to get my f2f. LOL I had given up.
Thank Stella I actually received and email to schedule my f2f for next month. So, I will do that today. I will follow all the guidelines you mentioned in your videos thank you again.

I have not applied, I am seriuosly considering applying...to delta. I am curious if I am not able to relocate to any base, but asked if I'd be willing to relocate, can I say no; however I am willing to commute until I am able to relocate. Is that an acceptable answer in your opinion?
Hi Stella how are you, I applied last year in November and got my video interview in December, but I choked on it because it's my first time I a video interview, and I didn't get selected. What I want to ask you is they said I reapply in six months in witch I do,...but is it from six months that I did the application or after the video interview. I want to try to reapply in May or in June. If you can give some feed back will like to hear from you :-D

In Australia you have to be able to swim 50 meters, and tread water for 3 minutes fully clothed!

Im only a 16 yrs old Senior High student and I am really really exited to graduate already and to become a flight attendant. Btw my course that I take is Travel Management and Im not yet sure with that coz some says if thats what I am planing to be, its bettet to take a nursing course instead of taking travel management course. Where did you do your training at? And do all the flight attendant trainees get trained at the same location?
And does everyone have to read the same thing out loud? I'm dyslexic and I'm horrible at cold readings. Is there any way for me to practice what they'll have me read? I don't want this to be something that holds me back from getting the job.
Most airlines will train you at their training center. Depending on the airline and their interview day you will have to at some point read something out loud. Mine was just one question on a piece of paper, not too difficult :) Just take your time.
