I TOTALLY agree with your points on being your true authentic self and being proud to be a flight attendant! Also having fun, makes the job so much easier! :)
Hi Stella, Thanks for brightening up a dull overcast day in the UK. Your personality shines through, love your vlogs and learning about your life as a flight attendant. I also love it when you show a locals view of NYC with you and Bart and of course sometimes Franny.
Stella. Thank you for letting us know to be yourself on interview. Though I am going on interviews to be a nanny. I never knew how to act. I was told I wasn’t professional enough. You validated me in this video. Thank you so much.
Love this video! I’m still struggling with short naps! I’m a new Flight Attendant at the same company you work for 😊. Thanks for the inspiration! I created my channel and enjoying creating content. I love watching your videos! Very positive and uplifting 😊. Thank you very much for your time creating awesome content 🙏
Flippin fantastic video Stella - thank you ! This channel is one of my favourites. I remember back in the day your vlogs when you shared accomodations, raced about juggling everything and getting maried etc etc. Go girl- thanks for taking us along for the ride : - ) Hello from London x
if anyone was wondering, if you do have a celebrity on your flight you are not allowed to ask them for an autograph or a picture. trust me, my mom has seen many celebritys like brad pitt, shakira, etc.
i dont know much about your airline or how long you’ve been working there but my mom, who works for air canada, she has been working there for over 10 years so she gets to pick where she gets to go, what days and how long her break can be. she gets an advantage because she is a senior.
I flied with American to’ Hawai’i for my honeymoon last month, perfect flights, and it was a long trip from Italy. In an on-board video About fund raising I saw your friend Lorena. 😁
Hi Stella! Miss those bursts of your genuine laughter! Love your advice. Ps. You should do a collab with LifeByFrancesco! He's an AMAZING FA/youtuber/guy! You guys will be a hilarity attack!!!😊
Do you get sick flying or during turbulence?? I've thought about becoming a flight attendant but I've only flown twice and the turbulence was horrible and I got super sick 🤢
Hi Stella. Thanks for your videos, they're awesome and very informative. I've been a senior customer service representative in a different field for over 11 years but I am considering making a career change. The only thing that I get a little concerned about is my age. I'm 47 years old. Considering the fact that there is fierce competition, what chances does a person my age have of being hired as a FA? Is there an age limit?
My hopes of being a Stewardess was quashed when the airline at my high school career day said the minimum height is 5’2” without shoes. I was so disappointed but I love watching Stella take us along on her flight attendant travels.
Véronique Des Groseillers Hi Veronique, maybe her airline allows that. Back in the day, early 1970’s, they were really strict with their regulations, no exceptions.
All airlines are different. There are loads of regionals in the USA where 5'2" is just fine. The planes are smaller so you dont have to be as tall to reach the emergency equipment.
I would have imagined “are you single?” Would be a common question 🤣 A serious question though, have you ever met any celebrities? If yes, about how often do you run into someone? Again, if yes, who was your favorite person you have met?
I'm taking both my kids on a flight from Sacramento to L.A next week. Short flight but they're 5 and 6 and I can't seem to find any videos on getting kids used to the idea of flying. Any resources?
I am an FA. I dont know of any videos like that but have been flying over 20 years and most kids that age these days are staring at their ipads the whole flight and dont seem to care. I dont think I recall even one kid all these years who was afraid of it. If they are acting up, it's just usually normal kid stuff like tired, hungry, need to run around a bit.
You dont have to be young. Airlines hire people of ALL ages even 60s and older! It's very common for people to wait until their kids have grown and all left home to apply! Go for it!
I’ve always wanted to see a particular question asked, but never have. Why do FA youtubers and vloggers never say which airline they work for? They’ll usually say “...for a major US Airline.” Is there a legality reason behind it?
I'm gonna take a crack at this. Mentioning explicitly which company they work for tends to give folks the false narrative that their views represent those of the company. So they typically will not say...either that or the company will request that it not be mentioned in their social media. That being said, of you are familiar with the uniform, you can tell which company Stella flies for...it ain't hard to figure out.
Omg!!! I hope my airline never gives us minimums. And our res is still every other month but I’m senior enough to not have to sit reserve anymore. Thank god!
Gone are the days of requiring unmarried stewardesses, i’m sure many flight attendants now appreciate the repealing of that policy, less heckling, but i’m also sure some attendants also do take the job to fly to exotic destinations and, uhh, have a good time.
In Norway u have 5 days on. 4 days off. 5 days on. 4 days off. (If u work 100%) And so on for flightattendants. Im not a flightattendant but i wanted to at alle point do i did some research and asked around.
Hey Stella I applied for a flight attendant position and I didn’t get hired 😥 I do have customer service experience I don’t know why my application got rejected I got the email saying I was not selected. What can I do ?
Don't be discouraged. I work for below wing and I know that there is a strategy for getting hired in all parts of the airline business. Did they immediately say no? Or did you get an interview? And then they said no?
@@MariaMendez-yf1mq Don't get discouraged. Never use a different name. So this could mean a few things. Have you been working for the last 5 years? They want a steady work. Also it be nothing but a better looking resume. Sometimes it's not what you did but how the resume is put together that seals the deal. Also if you speak another language use that as well. Don't forget because one airline doesn't want you, it doesn't mean another will not. Apply at different airlines
James no I never used a different name and i do have work experience I also speak Spanish Im from Houston Texas I haven’t applied to different airlines. I really don’t know what airlines to apply and who is hiring ? This doesn’t mean I am giving up this was my first time applying
@@MariaMendez-yf1mq So it may be your resume. Sometimes it's not what you did, but your wordage. Not just the airlines not other companies look at specific things. I would apply to different airlines. You may have thought the one you applied for was your dream company but the one that hires you may be the best thing for you. You may also want to try a gate agent and then transfer to flight attendant, they will let you do that too. I work below wing myself and know people who transfer to all different parts of the my company
Hi Stellar how are you doing i now get your log visit home only geting twenty eighttteen log i am excited to no the project u was working on i hope u get true miss Batt
Cheese Lover doesn’t matter at all. If you’re good at your job in retail/a supermarket etc, you will have contact with costumers regardless. You’ll ask them if they need anything, answer questions, walk them to the right isle, have a chat, or order them stuff.

I’ve always wanted to be a flight attendant.
I’ve never met the weight requirement until now, at the age of 56. I had weight loss surgery in February.
Heyyy big fan when ur in the airport and you get food do u have to pay for it
can you do a whole video on reserve? i think it’s so interesting!!
I've been working for StellaAirlines for 34 years. Great Airline. Tomorrow will be 35 when I wake up on my day off.
I would love to know for training, what I can prepare for myself, thank you very much

How is Bart doing and when does he come back to New York?
Is it cool to ask a FA to take a selfie?
do you have to know different languages to be a flight attendant??

How is pilot pay compared to flight attendant pay?
PIlots get paid WAY more. They also have to go through way more training and flight training is very expensive.
