    LET IT BE KNOWN THIS IS OUTDATED AND NOT UP TO DATE WITH MY CURRENT STATE OF KIT. I mainly do Rifleman and haven’t touched my medic stuff in forever. Don’t expect an update video on this specific kit at all

    As a medic you would not have earned a CIB that is strictly an infantry thing

    The infantry badge shown is a modern day Expert Infantryman Badge, not a Combat Infantry Badge, which didn't exist until the latter stages of the war and was not awarded to medics. The EIF is awarded through testing of infantry skills, not combat experience and does not include the surrounding wreaths designating a CIB. Medics were eventually awarded the Combat Medic Award, which is a stretcher surrounded by wreaths. I'm a former medical service corps officer and USN analyst in combat casualty care. And most US medics in Europe did not carry weapons (though some did for self protection) because the Germans were signers of the Geneva Convention and recognize d medical personnel as noncombatants. In the Pacific Theater, where Japan didnot recognize the Geneva Convention, medics were armed with sidearms or carbines for self protection. Today medics are armed with sidearms or carbines like the M4. The Conventions only prohibit medical personnel from manning crew-served weapons.

      Yes I know and thank you for this comment that gives good insight on the topic.
      This is an outdated video and it includes multiple inaccuracies. I’ve sense adjusted my kit and actually don’t do a medic impression anymore.

    Dude, such bull shit statement about taking stuff from women. Think about reading a few books or better yet stop playing video games about the war. My Dad was with the 9th infantry during the war. Take a few minutes and ready about them.

      Looting was very common during late war. It even was during Normandy and earlier campaigns. Also if you used your eyes you’d see this is 101st and not 9th ID

      You could say the same thing about blaming video games i doubt there’s a mission in a game where you have to steal some lady’s ring that was so unnecessary

    • @eagles_can_fly
      @eagles_can_fly  2 года назад

      @@Ruebenbayona It happened and of course your not gonna put it in a game. Most games depict war in a more lighthearted way. There’s many accounts of GIs looting and taking valuables through out the war and during the later stages.
