  • This is my impression for an ammo bearer of a 1919 team within the 101st.
    Specifically for the,
    502nd PIR
    1st Battalion
    C-Company
I didn’t include a lot of pocket trash stuff and didn’t put all the clothing on there but I’m pretty sure I addressed that in the video.
    Hope you enjoy ;)

Not a bad start man impression
The M7 gas mask bag needs OD7 colored straps. I took one of the 80s versions and sewed those straps on it and it looks better. Fun little project haha.

I do agree that It would be better if I had OD7 straps. but the OD3 strap the gas mask bag did exist. Wasn’t as common as OD7 but it was a thing. When I first bought the bag, I learned after which one was more common. It’s some thing that I may replace in the future. But as of right now I’m getting out of airborne stuff and mainly focusing on leader war infantry.

The enbloc carriers on your pistol belt? If i remember correctly only 82nd used those and they were mainly a 505th modified pouch. I could be wrong its been a long time. The 101st in pictures before and after they jumped didn't seem to have as modified or rigger gear as the 82nd individual paratroopers. Anyways thats my two cents. Everything else looks great. To be honest always dig into as many pictures of the division and particular unit you wish to depict. The paratroopers were far from standard at times with uniforms and rigger gear and even the usage of standard items issued, and they varied greatly from platoon to platoon and company to company. Due to the precarious nature of the job they had of being totally surrounded as part of the operation set before them a lit became ingenious in how to carry more grenades, ammo and food. So do your home work and you'll kick ass. Don't follow Hollywood movies Lol 😆.
    Cheers

I just did my reaction vid to this. Rather disapointing to be honest, I only got to be nice and not a critical arsehole. Good job, a decent job and someone has clearly been paying attention to my rants ;) kepe up the great work. Dan

Hello. I'm looking to do a WW2 101st/82nd Airborne Impression. I don't have enough money at the moment to buy all the gear at once. But i want to know if i should buy the jump uniform (pants and jacket), possibly even a helmet/boots (maybe not) or the field gear and equipment like the belt, ammo pouches, canteen, suspenders, medical pouch etc. I also am going to do an ammo bearer or an assistant gunner for the browning m1919 so what equipment do i need for that impression specifically? What order should i buy the equipment in and what to buy first as i can't afford to buy all at once. Thank you.

Hola te comento que busque y la medida es aproximadamente de 9,4 mts, y era utilizada para descolgarse si el paracaidista quedaba atrapado entre el follaje de los árboles, un abrazo

Hi, I know this video is a year old but i really want to start a WW2 US Airborne Impression for 82nd/101st. I have some questions. What should i buy first for the impression? I'm also wanting to be an ammo bearer/assistant gunner and want similar gear to you. But what should i buy first? I can't afford to buy the jump uniform and all the webgear at once. But i can afford to buy the main web gear on it's own or just the jump uniform (Pants and jacket) + maybe a helmet. I found some good venders like at the front, epic militaria and whatpriceglory as well. I also am quite knowledgable about the subject but need to know what to buy first. Could you please help me out on what order of to buy the gear and also what gear i'll need as an ammo bearer like you? Thank you.

Get uniforms first UNLESS your a still growing child. If your still growing then only get a helmet and your webbing
As for your webbing, it really depends on the unit and timeframe of the unit your doing.
For vendors I recommend ATF for uniforms and webbing
eBay is a good source for original stuff and 2nd hand repros
