    I know exactly what she's talking about. I got my dream horse not that long ago, and at first it was love at first sight, but when I got on him, he was absolutely amazing, if felt like I was floating on a cloud!
    I was out to try him three to four times, and he was so calm, and his personality was also amazing. He LOVED to cuddle and being petted. He also loves treats ❤️
    And the fact that he loves to work is also a really good quality!
    He always opens his mouth on his own, when I put a bit in his mouth. He never bites after me or anything when I tighten the girth, he's always calm.
    He got used to the new place in a matter of days!
    I also teached him to jump over obstacles and he absolutely loves it. His ears are pinned to the jump, and when he's over it, he tries to quickly run around and try again. 💕
    I could talk about him for hours, I just love him so much! 🤗

    • @boop4904
      @boop4904 4 года назад

      Ruth K
      That is nonsense. Of course it hurts. That’s why it’s used. Chains are put over or under sensitive places on a horse’s face (and every place on a horse’s face is sensitive), to control them with pain, or the potential of it. Charlotte is not using it harshly, and that is good, of course. But even so, it’s there and Free Style knows it, as any horse would.
      The argument that the comparatively small weight of a chain would make it unable to hurt a horse is also nonsense. Think of a splinter. Or a needle. Or a bee sting. Or a pebble in your shoe. Small or light doesn’t equal harmless. In fact, it can often increase pain, especially on a sensitive body part.
      Lastly, this wasn’t your comment, but I’ll say this here to respond to another who said it’s was “just for looks.” Wrong. It’s placement has a function. When done by popular people everyone watches and admires, it can become a “look,” which is then repeated. But make no mistake: it hurts, or has the potential to hurt, especially when used by people who think it doesn’t hurt and are just following a fashion. If you’re going to do it, know why. And it should never be for a “look.”
      Lovely video, though, and cheers to Charlotte and her obvious love for her horses and the sport.

    So you're going to breed her with Vallegro and you get to keep the foal for all your hard work, yes?

      @@akequestrian9563 The actual Valegro is a different horse entirely, and he is a gelding. This one has earned the nickname Mrs Valegro due to her temperament, her actual name is Mount St. John Freestyle.

    Saw the chain on the horses face and immediately lost interest in the video

      Are you kidding? The thing is loose the entire time, and is literally just for show. There are plenty of actual problems out there in the equestrian world, why don't you go find one if you are so eager to complain about something?

    • @Galemor1
      @Galemor1 5 лет назад +4

      I know, so many people are looking up to Charlotte, so seeing her using a chain, will make others do it to.
      I don't care if it's loose or not, it's just bones covered with a thin layer of skin under the horses chin, the "loose" chain will rub against the bones in every movement the horse does.
      I guess ignorance is a bliss..

    • @SpottedLeafy
      @SpottedLeafy 5 лет назад +2

      @@Galemor1 Have a look at the video again. There is always at least three or four fingers between the horse's chin and the chain, therefore, if anything it would brush against the chin rather than rub. It is certainly not being used in its more severe form where it goes over the top of the nose. There is clearly no discomfort being caused here.
      I agree that used irresponsibly a chain is terrible, but here there is nothing wrong with the way Charlotte is using it. Not ignorant, just aware that equipment like a chain, is only as harsh as the person using it.

      It's unnecessary.
      I have used it on stallions, because they might need the pain to snap them back to focus on you.
      We just see parts of the video, the only reason you put a chain like that, is because it's needed..
      It's not “pretty“

    • @SpottedLeafy
      @SpottedLeafy 5 лет назад +1

      @@Galemor1 And yet there are far worse things being done to horses than what is being done in this video... Go find one of those to focus on rather than this, which is rather pointless as this horse is clearly not in pain at all.

    “We have an instant connection” yeah? That’s why you need the metal chain under the chin? hahaha and you’ll have idiots defending her about how horses are dangerous or a metal chain doesn’t hurt them or whatever other way they justify using pain to control the horse. Yeah this comment is negative. Yeah I’m a hater. This whole “oooh amazing eyes, kind eyes, beautiful personality” and how much she loves this but sadly that horse has to stay on a stall for a majority of its life. If you love the horse so much, let it be a horse.

    0:54 can someone explain the chain under the chin? We either don’t use the chain or put it over the nose as a shank for the harder horses.
