I used stolts last year in the same conditions, so crazy, I finally got the hang of them but you gotta go down steeps that are groomed, powder is a no go 🙅♂️ and I sold them shortly after 😂

I got halfway down and put my hiking boots on cause they cramped my foot so bad. Id love to see something in between blades and the strictly underfoot ones

Trees do tend to have more visibility when it’s super cloud covered. Better to be distance
Exactly, visibility is a lot better in the trees. They give a static reference point and color contrast to the snow
I always go into the trees on days with bad visibility, it makes it way easier to see.
Also one tends to ski slower in the trees which helps one not overski their vision.

I find it so interesting that there is an actual police like ski patrol. In Europe you can do whatever you want on the mountains.
