Lol I remember being stuck on the former parking garage side when our car was on the formal mall side not even a year ago. The old Dovers in the former mall parking have since been overhauled with a generic mod (or what I thought was ThyssenKrupp at the time) Apparently after hours they lock that door in the middle of the air bridge and that’s where we got stuck. Those KONE’s are the same though.
I bet y'all the mall elevators were Montgomery with A-Series fixtures as well! They probably even had the blue VFD indicators on them also knowing since they were probably traction.
This is kind of like the videos of the hackers gaining access where they would wreak havoc on the building and do the penetration test. those guys get paid big bucks and you made it to the mechanical room for free. Cool video lots of memories in that mall. It just look dead when it was open. It had the same exact escalator systems as the mall in Kansas City that killed a bunch of people when they fell because of the bolts
This was probably the most pointless redevelopment of this mall period. Who the hell cares -- St Louis is a big ghetto! It would have been so nice if they would have kept this an actual mall still.
Absolutely incredible. Glad one of the original elevators is still in and functional. I still wonder about that service elevator.
8:32 I like the note in the elevator. "Hey guys working in the garage..." LOL best way to start a note:) 8:48 LOL
Is that a... bottom drive machine on the top?? That's a REALLY strange system! Nice tour!
I've seen a pair of US Elevators with that layout
We don't, & I'm sure this is spam as I saw an extremely similar comment using a different account. This is also a warning to everyone.
Fun video! Thanks!

According to Andrew, they were originally Westy which sounds weird.
One hell of a video here
You got that right!
alpalJL thanks!
That indicator and those buttons remind me of Center in The Square garage in Roanoke. Same type of elevator?
The Dover in the 1st garage, that is.
Awesome upload!
good
Thanks for taking me here Jacob! Did you show Andrew the freighter?
Andrew and I went on it last December.
in case you're wondering, Jacob these are KONE kss 500 Ecodisc traction Elevators
Oh, its the most exiting and rare elevator in the world!! Kone Ecodisc Baby!!!! I'm guessing they were probably something else and then got modded.
What happened to your video about the history of this place?
I remember going there when it was a mall
Will you upload the video of the Ryko Softgloss MAXX at Mobil with Dieselducy?
Interesting how it looks like a basement traction machine on the top floor
I just watched Dieselducy's latest live stream, and i'm wondering if you could do s tour of your current home:)
11:30 I wouldn’t say that. The Machine Room in the Old Shoe factory counts as well
What was beyond that wooden door on the roof floor.
Montgomery A-Series fixtures. Do you know if the Union Station mall with the glass Westinghouse is still there?
OPM1961 If you are referring to the one in the Head House of Union Station, with the antique style cage around it, then yes :)
