- Puzzle Purses are little folded paper pockets which can be decorated and filled with a message, or used as a little envelope. They were popular love tokens in the 18th and 19th centuries.
They make a lovely, thoughtful valentines gift, but are also nice to send to friends or family at any time of the year.

For the life of me I can’t do the pinwheel. This is like the 5th tutorial I’ve watched
i suggest completly folding and forming each pinwheel, so that the shape is like okay and then doing them one by one
What helped me is drawing the 4 lines diagonally like she did right before it looks like a pinwheel. And then instinctively try to push those lines to match the center of your paper.
I know what you mean. It nearly did my head in …… but I persevered

shocked to find people struggling with the pinwheel fold when the open/closed sink almost sent me into hysteria. this was a surprisingly easy fold but I am a beginner at origami so maybe I just got it quicker?

Trying first with watercolour paper was a bit of a hassle, but I got it! Definitely need to find my bone folder next time I do this tho
It’s easier to get the technique with thin paper, but the folder does help. I hope it’s getting easier. X

I just found you and this wonderful little project today. Thank you for sharing I have my paper folded and ready to decorate. Deciding if I should stamp as I'm not a very good drawer. This could be the beginning of a new obsession. :-) Or an idea on a bigger scale for my son's wedding invitations????????
