Desigual | Interview with designer Mr. Christian Lacroix ‘Exceptionnel au quotidien’

We met with the designer Mr Christian Lacroix in his Parisian Fashion studio. He told us about his inspirations for the new capsule collection he designed for Desigual. ‘Exceptionnel’ is the name of the limited edition, sold exclusively online, in which the designer Mr. Christian Lacroix will surprise us with unique models. “A series of clothes to dress yourself for every occasion that have a proper vision: optimistic and cultural without having to be formal.”
The relationship between Desigual and the designer Mr. Christian Lacroix goes back to 2012, when both creative universes merged to create a series of clothes that quickly became best sellers of the brand. “I first spotted the brand products, when I say the first Desigual coats in one of Paris’ streets. In that moment, I thought they looked like vintage pieces of some of my old collections” - remembers Mr. Chrisitan Lacroix. In 2016, his collection became a part of the Desigual universe and himself became an emblem designer of the brand. In 2018, the proposal is even stronger with this very special capsule collection.

I found a beautiful desigual jacket at the thrift store on the most magical birthday I've ever had. An elderly lady used her seniors discount to help me pay for it. Hearing him say he believes in spirituality and magic is amazing because becoming curious about where the jacket came from literally saved my life.
