    Fun list. I wish that the original Elton John greatest Hits from 1974 would be remastered and reissued. Such a classic collection of songs from Elton at his peak.

    Me again. This time I have 24/30 on vinyl. As I said. 74 is my fave yr ever. I was 10 living in Michigan. Had my radio on all day and night. CKLW 800 AM.

      Ive collected about 4000 vinyl over the yrs. 74 was great for R&B and Jazz fusion too.

    In this list, my number one would have been Skynyrd's 'Second Helping'. Love that southern rock. Although it was good to see Bad Co. and BTO in this top 30 list.

    I'm curious as to why you referenced the Ramones in your headline. But it is true they played CBGB'S in 74. The Saints in Australia were also playing in a punk style in 74
