I was faster than him but only a week later I'm slower than him again :(
He’s only getting older you’re only getting faster
Same lmaooo
@@karlismymiddlenamehow do you know that @kingjoe7681 is not old
@@braydonkampher7848 I'm not old but how did he know that 🤔

I love that you are embracing were you are currently in your fitness. A lot of collegiate/elite runners would hide this part of training. It's amazing that you are being so open about the comeback!
Keep dropping 30 seconds per week and you’ll be back to 14:20 in no time
This comment is so wrong

Idk what, but my senses are telling me Spencer has started his Ryan Trahan arc
You started as a runner who RUclips'd, now your a RUclipsr who runs. Life's a journey with many chapters. Enjoy the ride.
Congrats Spence! And I truly love the new "The Local Legend" branding, its genius. Keep up the good work.
I don’t get it. A few weeks ago you had an Achilles injury, complained that doctors couldn’t help you, and now you’re running flat out 5k. Mercy on your tendons.
In this all out 5k after one week of training, I decided not to wear super shoes because I didn’t want to get injured
Diggin these videos, man! It's a fun change and I bet pretty freeing to just have fun with it.
Way more than 1%! When you get old, waking up early anyway, getting out with people on a Saturday morning is actually really fun. Its big part of many run clubs too - which have been exploding. You should start your own running club 😊
Everyone *thinks* they can run, but watching you take off at the start makes it so obvious you're a professional. Its awesome to watch. Such a fun video.
Enjoying this content a lot, you seem so much more relaxed.
I like these videos, fun way to enjoy building up. A lot more to running than trying to always be the fastest. Just keep it causal and fun and don't let seriousness creep in too much 👍🏼
Loving this series! Also, count me in the population that enjoys weekend 5ks. (Also, next week, when you race Allie, you can get that sub-17!)
My moneys on Allie 😉
I am enjoying this series. Local 5ks are pretty accessible and affordable (sometimes under $20 or even free). But you should do a 10k soon!
I will do more 5k later on this year :D but first my marathon in june. great video
next year:
I RAN A 5K WITH ONLY ONE YEAR OF TRAINING
Lol this series is great
Wowzers Scott is some body goals right there! Dude looks amazing physically and obviously a good runner too!
He has actually appeared in a TAS video before in the background. Great dude
Dang Scott is JACKED!
The Local Legend is even more legendary after this race. I foresee a sub 17 in your future.
❤the series
Did you put your heart rate monitor on the wrong side? 🤣
Amazing improvement in just one week! Loved seeing ALL THE WEINER DOGS! =D
great work matey keep it up
Video idea, coros activity screen layout and what you use for races and workouts
2nd place looks like a crossfitter, haha. big respect to run that fast with so much muscles to carry around!
Now this is epic!! Comeback gonna be crazy 😮
Racing into shape its works.
I feel like if you really don’t want a super shoe(even though most have arguably more protection than the kayano 30), a lighter, bouncier shoe could have helped with a faster time
Local legend = 5k King of Seattle.
Quite an interesting race theme. A local legend for sure!
Great job 30 second drop!!!
BECOME THE LOCAL LEGEND, TROLL ALL THE LOCAL RACES.
Are your goals now limited to local races and becoming a "local legend" (whatever that means)? Or do you still have serious ambitions in the sport? I can understand switching your focus to the roads - more easily available competitve opportunities - but you are better tha simply becoming another slow jogger with access to a laptop. Shouldn't you be aiming at sub 14 for 5K?
He'll get back into his 14 minute 5k shape but it will take some time to get there, but he has to make sure he's not going super crazy intense in his training and hurting himself in the process.
The dude who got second had that Saitama build.
Riley!!!
2 seconds in front of my PB but I am 15 well done man
Probably would have broke 17 without the wiener dog parade but great running bro
Are you wearing the HR monitor inside out?
Give us merch
Kinda weird you’re trying to say there’s a difference between training and running when you were running prior and this would be your third week of running
Bro casually runs my pr only after a week 😖
Poor guy has jumped the 🦈 shark
Were u at magnusion park at 5:30
Great, but with the glasses you could have done better in terms of 90's vibe. 🎉😅
curious how fast were you when you stopped training, that was about 2-ish months ago???
He was around 14:20 for a 5k before injury.
Frank Zappa is alive!
Who wants to run a 5k every weekend, only 1 percent of the population? Well I guess I am finally part of the 1 percent!
*dies from cringe* 😂
Sick!
Little clickbait sort of title. Its not like you only trained 1 week. Its more that you had a short break.
Make your $100 and shoe store gift certificates every week!
Back in the 90s i was actually sub 17😅
Take it easy !! You can't run a 5km at high intensity, every week, without getting injured.
Weekend 5ks are the best.
Also the 90s was a decade for running slow and easy dude.
Totally called that 17:10. 💯
Best part was the wiener dogs.
Still good effort :)
Under 1 hour
One of my hs xc coaches worked at the Super Jock and Jill that Spence ran past around the 3 min mark
Subscribed and impressed!
