How did you get the flash to pop up?

I don't have one of these right now to check over, but I believe the flash just popped up when the camera sensed there was not enough light without it. I do not believe there is a button to push to make it pop up.

Will these cameras turn on without film? I have a nice one but it does nothing after I put batteries in it.

I think so, but I don't have one here right now to check for sure. If you turn it on and press the shutter button, does anything happen?

      @@oldengguy No, nothing

@@martymcgill1312 Without having one here to try, I'm not sure what to advise. I don't know of anything else to try other than to make sure batteries are in correctly and that there is no problem with past battery leakage preventing good connections.

@@oldengguy Battery compartment is clean and shiny. I may buy a roll of film and try it. I'm going to sell it on eBay so I can spend a buck on it. I was thinking that it reads the film and without film to read it may have not make connection. Thanks anyway.

      I have the same issue.

I just bought one of these and after a few hours of shooting I put it away. I picked it back up about a month later to discover that it had eaten the brand new batteries. Do these generally kill batteries?

I would think only if it was left on. One thing to be careful of...try not to put your camera away for too long with batteries in it. So many cameras that use AA batteries are damaged by battery leakage.

@@oldengguy i learned that lesson with my beautiful ice blue Game Boy Pocket. I was just shocked to find it without charge after only shooting about half a roll and only using flash for a few of those.

I've had the batteries in mine for years. Great old camera.
