I love glass catfish ! when I was a kid, about 100 years ago....they used to inject dye into them ! I hated the practice and wouldn't buy them, but now I have some untortured ones swimming about happily.
🤔 Can wait I just bought a 30 gallon community tank . Not sure what else I'll put but all I have is a couple Cory's, 4 Ember Tetras and 4 tiger barbs and Gary our mystery snail . Any ideas would be helpful .
Jason, Wow glass fish. I have seen those at the stores they are kind of cool. Never heard of snakeskin barbs though. Can’t wait for species profile and what else you are going to add to the tank.
Hey bro love the video, Im starting an African tank and I need your help. How does 2 Calvus cichlids, 2 Julies, 1 Leopard bush fish, 1 bristle nose pleco, and 1 petricola catfish sound for a 40G Breeder tank.
I’ve kept geos for a long time and love them! Yep - we’ve had them grow to about 10”, but the rainbows will be far to large (4”) to be eaten and even the snakeskin barbs are already too large for the geos to bother.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics rainbow? haha you may have spilled a secret there. if i ever travel to the state for aquashella, maybe later this year, would love to chat with you, been keeping eartheaters for a long time too. the barbs are probably fast enough, unless it is dim and they slow down or rest. i would worry more for the glass catfish, they are not terribly quick and make an easy meal.
Gorgeous glass catfish & they still give a beautiful glow with your background & waters ❤ Your barbs have gorgeous pattern & colour but personally I don't touch barbs having them in the past knowing that some can be really nippy but your tanks a stunner ❤

I vaguely remember that now that you mention it!
They used to inject them with die? Dude, that's so messed up.
I remember Painted Glassfish but I don't recall Painted Glass Catish.
Can all barbs be kept together?
Most can, but it really depends on the size of the tank.
Good choice

Hey - check out our 29 gallon stocking ideas videos. Should help a lot!
Looks like you need a sponge on that intake for that HOB
Ya - you may be right 😀
Add a rainbow shark in there and dwarf mexican crayfish.
The loaches would eat the crayfish and the rainbow shark would eventually terrorize the loaches. 😀

We added more cool stuff since this video : -)

That could work!
@@PrimeTimeAquatics could I put up with 3 petricola cats ?
be careful long-term as the Geophagus grow into beautiful adults, they will be much larger than the other fish and predation could become an issue

Nice fish. Thanks!
Thank you!
I adore glass cats.
Me too!
Very nice
my friend has a big group of snakeskin barbs, they are very fun!
I agree!

The snakeskin barbs tend to be very mellow.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics They're nice but done my limits now with my 66.5g, just added 4 young Rainbow fish.
