    Spent many years of my youth clearing brush and building stock ponds with those D4Ds ! Great machines! Keep the belly pans cleaned out! Grass ,leaves and small sticks fill them up and become a dangerous fire hazard! Also do not trust the hinges on the belly pans on the first and second pans ! They usually are broken or rusted off on the old machines! Support with floor jacks on at least a 1/4 inch piece of steel plate! From hard lessons learned! The blade you have does look like it came off of a D4E model.

      Thanks for the tips I got the big belly pan under the transmission out and cleaned it but the two up front are putting up a fight gonna have to get the torches and a fire extinguisher for those another video on it coming this weekend thanks for watching

    I just bought a D4D from a local farmer its still standing in the field fornpast 10 years I havent touched it. It has a bush growing through it. bought some batteries looking fwd to a weekend to try to start it.

    my first d4d has over 18xxx hrs mtr never touched they are great little dozers have 3d 2e going completly through one 4d now everything in back end is new finals through steering good luck

    You should have bought Cat bolts for that track they are special bolts that goes in them

    weld tabs on the track and use a come-a-long to easly reset track locks

    Get #1 diesel in your new rig plus ban ice ,also a bolt heater will help with winter startups!!!

    I know by this time you change the air filter from the other side by taking the clamp off and you have two filters in that airbox!!!

    old glow plugs take longer to heat hold jeat on longer...a volt meter will tell you if plugs are dead or not

      Yes I did use a multimeter and found only one glow plug was working I ordered all new ones they should be in on the next video this weekend thanks for watching

    Where is the fuel line off the side of the injection pump going, I can see that it going to the cab

      Line comes out of tank to a water separator then to a fuel filter then to the injection pump

    Please tell us you changed all the filters and checked for oil and antifreeze? I like your video, but shorten the bit where you are moving crap with it 👍🇬🇧

      No oil in antifreeze or vise versa changed all filters and fluids except hydraulic had a bad leak just fixed that your lucky I lost about 2hours of dozing content but to each their own any parts you don’t like just skip them that’s the best part of RUclips you control it I hope you subscribed there is another video coming soon thanks for watching

    I wonder if you could put in a metal rod or weld over re drill and tap I never had good luck with heil coil

      The helicoils are just temporary unless they hold up so I could test the dozer and run it for a day to see if it needed any major repair I really need to find a good set of used rails or just install a new mater link thanks for watching

      I never claimed to be more than rookie never will its a simple concept though I can't show what I don't have I HAD the footage but it became corrupted so no good and that happens to the best of them I'm sure you understand with all the content you've taken and uploaded to RUclips and all have a nice day thanks for watching
