This is Microsoft flight simulator X, you fly anything from glider planes to cessnas to pipers, as well as the commercial airliners, obviously. GREAT game to learn from, especially if you plan on getting your solo pilot's license. The lessons on flight are outstanding.
For me the yoke has been amazing and added a more realistic feel to flying. It allows me to make better turns and have the aircraft under better controls than a joystick. You have to get the pedals as well or you will struggle with the rudder.
Wow, I AM intrigued beyond measure. I run an ACER Aspire Desktop, w/upgrade to 2G Memory & as well, had installed the Nvidia 8800 Graphics Card. I have often wondered if the purchase of the Saitek Pro system would be worth the investment, and after watching this (your) demonstration, I am convinced that the investment is worth it. I presently run FSX Deluxe w/Acceleration on a SONY Bravia 50+" HD 1080i Television, and the picture is amazing. Thank You for the new knowledge.
I was looking at videos to see if the yoke could be fitted on my fat desk and I realised that you have got the same desk as me. Thanks, now I can buy the yoke :)
I have to say,I did buy the saytek yoke too,and its awesome..there u can set all(speed break,flaps.ecc) so flying experience is doubled!I have FSX with about 11 add ons..mostly enviropment,so now a can easyly flight,while watching world from cockpit
In FS 2004 and X there's an option you can turn on, called "Auto Coordination". With that one on, you can taxi with just the yoke, otherwise you can't. I wouldn't recommend it though 'cause you wouldn't be able to do slips or anything else that requires non-coordination.

@sandie1718 the game is fsx and you have to buy it from pc shops or on the microsoft website. the announcements from the cabin crew are just addons that most of them you can get for free, also the graphics are stunning and are almost at HD quality, just some people upload them to youtube in bad graphics, thats all.
I recommend buying a TrackIR. It gives much more realism and fun to it! Go get one. No more switching the views.

Because, when you don't have the rudder pedals, the rudder is controled by the yoke too.
You can change it.
You can set the blue/red to flaps.
or de blue/red to the spoilers. its beatiful!
you have to go the choose location and once you have selected your airport go to the area which says "active runway" and change to a gate or parking area of your choice, hope this helped

0 is left and enter is right

nice yoke and comp, just that for taxi use the rudders instead of the ailerons, ailerons do work but normalley is used with rudder for taxxing

@luiskrohn He would need to use the yoke if he hasn't got rudder pedals and autorudder is enabled, that's the way it works in FSX.

If you get used to taxiing with the yoke in the simulator instead of pedals, you're totally screwed when you get behind the controls of a real plane. For the simulator user it will be twice as hard to become accustomed to a real aircraft as opposed to someone who never learned the "wrong" way to steer a plane. Getting a yoke without pedals is not only a complete waste, but counterproductive in terms of learning to fly a plane. If it's used only as a game however, I guess anything goes. Have fun!
Maximum Taxi Speed is 20 knots, may be you see a Ryanair 737 at 20 knots but normally planes are going at 15 knots. And a 747, normally goes very slowly like 12 knots or less
I highly recommend the proflight stimulator its amazing!
I bought it and there was a lag but there is a fix. Install ONLY the SAITEK driver updates from the CD, the configuration software is not needed. Unplug the yoke system and then plug it back in. Now move all axis, throttles, and the yoke to all its limits and do this about 4 times. In other words, move yoke left, right, pull down, pull up, etc, 4 times, Now go into your control panel and click Game controllers. Select Saitek and in deadzones there should be none. Plz email me if you need help.
Why zooming out so far? That view is not realistic at all. However, for personal preference I guess you can do whatever you like. The most accurate zoom setting is 40 in the VC of most default aircrafts in FSX.
fromm what i can see in the video, he is not using a track ir but infact just panning around with the normal hat switch

- The yoke itself is too "springy" and does not give a true aircraft feel. Some of this may be the programming in FSX but I don't think so. Aircraft tend to yo-yo along the pitch axis even when using only the trim switch which you must use, even moreso than the real thing). Some aircraft, of course, are more sensitive than others (like the Mooney) but other stable planes are yo-yoing as well.

Ohh mate... that is sick! Im deciding on either this yoke system or the x52... or maybe BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice set up btw. Ive got a 24" Dell .. hmmm if one day i get another monitor... just thinking, another 24 " ? or do a 30"..
There seems to be some delay from the movement of the yoke to the movement of the Virtual yoke, maybe that's just an image delay, but if it's a delay when you fly, then that could be really annoying, turning, then it only starts to turn a second later, could be a problem on landing where every movement counts.
Blue is prop pitch. Red is fuel mixture.

Because you can't just turn with the rudder, you need to turn with the nosewheel.

Adan Alspektor u should try Ebay or amazon very cheap and good quality!.. you don't think I have everything new aren't you!!!! I have many simulator controllers! as in: G27 set + seat, Saitek Pro Flight Set, and some other addon for the Saitek pro very good stuff :)

Should you recommend the yoke? I would like to have a more realistic feel to FS but what ive seen it dosent look too responsive, could I make this better by fine tuning the sensitivity? Also if it isn't very responsive and there's no way to get it perfect I would rather buy the x52
You have to open the plane doors using Shift+E and then to get the jetways moving press Ctrl+J

I'm confused, when taxi, aren't you supposed to steer with you rudders???
there is an autorudder option in FSX, basically it use aileron control to steer the rudder also, but i think this only work on ground

@alyelhadad , hi, when i am flying lessons in fsx with cessna, my aircraft is yoyoing when climbing , I cannot keep stright climbing just in hand, i need a lot of trim, I thought that this is because of my old and cheap joystick, now I wanted to buy this Saitek one and you are saying that this is same thing on this expansive saitek ?

lol i made my own custum cocpit setup with the pedals from a legitech stairing wheel as the rudder, the steering wheel it self as the flaps, and Iam saving up for the x50 system cus the throttle is niece :)

the ruder u can control with num pad 0 to the left and enter to the rigth and 5 to center
black speed. if pulled all the way down reverse thrust and the blue is propeller trim and red it fuel mixture
i bought a saitek pro flight yoke system. theres a problem with it. whenever i leave the yoke to the original position which is the middle my flight simulator elevators are always totally down not at the middle.

Is it possible to use the prop control as engine number 2 and the default throttle as engine number 1? That's more realistic when flying an airplane with two engines. Nice product.

i got 2 GB or ram? why could that be a problem? i programed the buttons and everything but the yoke and throttles dont respond. like for example if i test out the hardware at first it shows everything working fine but after a while i test it again and it doesnt respond.??
Ok i have that same controller and when flight sim starts the display goes to all zero's, is counts up like a timer, and is unresponsive. and no it is not on timer mode. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
use the elevator trim so you dont have to pull back so hard on the yoke on take off

Your setup is wrong. You never use the yoke to steer the nosewheel. In real life, you would use a tiller, but in FS it's usually the rudder pedals that steer the plane on the ground.

its probably the setting in FSX that is auto-coordinate rudder+aileron for easier play. Or some might say thats cheating lol. Anyway on some sticks like mine rudder is on different axis so you twist stick instead of turn for rudder, kinda useful if you dont have pedals.
