@@johnsalgado7737 He is fun to learn but he will take a while to get good with online, but dont let your first impression sway you too much, play around with him for a while, he gets much more fun when you get a better feel for him, I play him with 17 and Trunks but it took a lot of labbing to get used to
I played him the other day I really like him, he's really different to any of the character I've played so far, I think he'll be on my main team so my team Bardock, Master Roshi & Teen Gohan (Teen Gohan is my linchpin character).
I think fundamentally roshi is the closest character to regular fighting games well get. Like instead of having a sd that follows opponents you have to actually press the jump button plus sd button, then aim it at your opponent. Thats the closest well get to games like MvC which is cool(also its cool that the first character like that is the hardest)
SO roshi over compensating for everything is legit, he is after all supposed to be one of the weakest characters on the franchise now. He is the core of the Dragon ball when we use to have creativity and dumb techniques but at the same time the all time classic beams and also some dirty tricks here and there. I hope he gets a Jackchie Shun skin.
Roshi is even more of a badass in the Super manga- he doesn't get some grand fight to send him off like in the anime because it cuts a lot to rush through the events as quick as possible, but instead he goes toe-to-toe with Jiren for a few seconds and essentially teaches Goku Ultra Instinct
i have to say i added him to my team and i picked him up realitively easy, even took him to ranked and i really enjoyed him. He really confuses my opponents. Great Guide!
I actually recently just started playing fighterz and Roshi was the first character I actually fully figured out. So thank you for this now I can enhance my gameplay with him.
I love your video so much, but could you make a guide for fighterZ beginners, I’m currently enjoying playing as gogeto, goku gt and android 17, but I don’t know anything about terminology or advanced techniques, see I come from the super smash bros competitive scene and this is a much different game.
Welcome to primetime. Maybe check out content from rooflemonger? Globku has great stuff, but rooflemonger might have some basic guides for more green players of db fighterZ. Jm crofts and dotodoya are always posting vidz featuring ranked gameplay, which can be somewhat educational, and def entertaining.
Very nice character breakdown overall. Personally I think this character will go far and he's overall solid with the vast amount of tools he can do. He feels like what U.I should've been, but then U.I ended up being a brain dead character Roshi has many projectiles, 2 Command grabs, a full screen side switch, good normals, a DP with super armor on it, great assist, and overall has some fantastic looking combos. I'm not sure about his tier placement just yet, it's way too soon. But for now... I'm very happy and satisfied with this character. And to all those who said he'd be bad, where are you now?

I fancy myself a pretty good FighterZ player but I like watching these videos because I don't do much loops but I don't end up learning a few things from these make make a few combos myself from what I learn.
"The Greatest Kamehameha" X100 Big Bang Kamehameha (which literally 1 shots opponents): Am I a Joke to You?! If you're wondering how to do this you must have SSJ4 Gogeta and do a Taunt 7 times (5 of said 7 can be done as an assist, this taunt also gives you some Ki as well, it is NOT an attack)
You know Roshi is a complicated character because I spent a whole day toying around with him and then I watched this breakdown and saw moves I forgot he had.
One of my favorite things to do with roshi is foward heavy quarter circle back heavy (full) quarter circ foward r2(or rt) gogeta big bang into android 17 level 3,and if u know timing and your in a corner you van do 17s lvl 1 than gogetas lvl 3(or 5)
@@treshkun6257 im not to good at percentages, so i just say that it cuts them down all the way to the first letter of their character name,its not a tod but does a good amount of dmg
I was shocked how good this game was even tho they pulled a sucker move with buying most of the characters thankfully I bought the ultimate version and just bought the ones I wanted besides that.
Roshi is the first dlc to release since i got the game and i really like him after trying him in arcade May buy him tomorrow when he comes out for non season pass owners
You can actually z change after the evil containment wave. You just have to treat it like Hit's, you just have to change before the animation changes TLDR: Change before the animation.
@Seth Antongiovanni bruh doto is still rlly good with him. he mainly only dropped that one combo bcz it was an advanced one. Edit: just had to fix a ton of errors there bcz while my typing is fast, the accuracy is bad.

1:21 He's really that techincall ? Man fist they rob Zamasu of any buffs on the patch and then they steal his title as the most techincal character in the game. Feels bad man
i mean zamasu is techincall but nowhere near as technical as other Arksys Character. I used to play a lot of Izanami and Relius in Blazblue so when i picked him up he was pretty standard beside the flight gimmick
@@nelomalkevain4129 oof I could never play Relius. I find Izanami surprisingly simple combo and set up wise, was kinda surprised since everyone went on about how technical she was. When it comes to Zamasu I just don't get him. He feels so off and while he has some mean damage, other simpler characters just do the job better which is something you can't really say about the two from Blazblue
@@nelomalkevain4129 don't get me wrong, other arcsys games have way more technical characters, like relius or arakune. Its just as you said though, Zamasu is probs the most technical in Fighterz. But yea, Fighterz is a much easier game than Guilty Gear or Blazblue.
The difficulty about Relius its all about menaging Ignis (i dunno what happened in cf but her batteries get depleated in like 3 moves). Somethimes you are forced to pop od just to keep her alive cuz without her Relius is basically useless. As far as combo works they arent that technicall

He honestly isn't as technical as Zamasu. He's just different. I'm having no trouble learning him.
