- I flew on Qatar Airways B787-9 New Business Class Suite from Doha to Istanbul.
Before the flight, I visited the Al Safwa First Class Lounge in Doha. I had an interesting Tibetan massage treatment in the spa and spent some time touring around the First Class Lounge.
The new Business Class Suite on Qatar Airways 787-9 isn’t the same as their award-winning Q-Suite, It feels more like a junior version. The center seat pair face away from each other and the suite feels narrower than QSuite on B777/A350.
We flew over the entire Istanbul city and Ataturk Airport before landing at the new Istanbul International Airport. Enjoy the landing footage. At the end of the video, I give my verdict on the new Business Class Suite of Qatar Airways.

I’ve heard from many crew who flew with him that he is not nice as he appears to be on videos 😐
You’ve got to admit the Middle East and Asian airlines are light years ahead of European and North American carriers. Not just facilities, but the warmth and friendliness of the ground and cabin staff. BA, United and American are such dinosaurs. Delta’s not too bad. Also the new Istanbul airport destroyed a huge amount of rare wildlife, but does anyone care? Prob not.
and to make it worse, the US carriers believe they ARE the best!!

@@androsg100 that’s the excuse rhs Americans provide. If they reinvested more into their products, they too could do the same. The only differences are likely in profitability, Qatar could lose money and be kept afloat by the state. Unless that is occurring, they are pretty much operating under similar techniques as the Americans.

Exactly!, i was waiting for that slight rumble and shakiness but i was stunned by this smooth touchdown, really remarkable.

Love the doors on the suites, this is something I will always look for in international biz class. Also love the pedal for the waste bin! I get that this is first world problems but that is something I wish were on every airplane.
15 years now flying Qatar…never been let down in all that time. I fly via Doha to anywhere just to fly with them…..hope you can pick me up again soon from Chiang Mai. Best airline best crew best MD……common sense, kept flying throughout this crisis …difficult to explain really, but cannot fault Qatar.

Qatar airways numero uno. Flew 3 times, even on economy, based on my personal xperience, their services onboard were almost immaculate

I cannot express how speechless I was on this airplane. I’ve only been on two row planes or whatever they’re called, so to go on express that is that big almost made me go insane. I was so excited to be there, so to be on business class must be literal heaven!
Used to fly business on a Qatar Airway Airbus and always love their welcoming lemon mint drink. Superb!

10:10 I totally agree with you. The a350 is wider but the 787 cabin design makes it more comfortable
You know what I always say, "it all depends on the airline" Take a look at the economy seat of the 787 of Japan airlines, they are in a 2-3-2 configuration and they made the cabin very wider! It makes so good, much better than Qatar economy a350 or singapore. So always remember that all depend on the airlines, since "weapons are useless if they do not use them well"

The lounge in DOH was outstanding, the food and amenities there were excellent! This seat is not as good as Qsuite, but with the door, it makes a huge difference from the usual herringbone seat

I flew on a Qatar 787 out of DOH - BKK but not sure if it was the -9 or some to other variant. The business class seat looks mighty nice and much more comfy than the economy seats! 😋

I call it QSuite Light. Flew it last Saturday DOH-HKT in a 787-8. A little bit tighter. I love the induction Pad, to charge my phone. No more cables and compared to other airlines, there is full service in the air and at the ground. Flying now Qatar for eight years and still looking forward, to my next flight. Thx for this great vid Sam.

Do you know how many 787-8 on Qatar fleet have this new business suite? Is there any way to tell via seat map which aircraft have it? How does it compare to the qsuite? Would you say it’s similar or much tighter/inferior?
@@jct4111 it's a bit smaller than the original QSuite. And no idea, how many of there 787 are converted with it.

I flew on Qsuite in feb 2020 to Adelaide and it was much better on A350 great service too but this looks quite narrower.
