Despite putting more hours into SR2, SR3 was definitely a fun time with all the goofy/cartoony stuff you can do in it. Story was a lot crazier too

@@norXmal I dont think SR 3 & 4 were the downfall, They were (while not having a lot of depth story-wise 4 having a little more than 3) still good games. The reboot is what was the downfall aka the absolute fucking destruction of the franchise that has very little chance of being resurrected. The start of the downfall would be during or after Gat Out of Hell.

I think SR2 was the best of the series, but SR3 is my favourite. They dialed the funny all the way up to 11, and refined things from the previous games to perfection. And the licensed soundtrack was implemented better than anything GTA offered... The parachute raid into the penthouse suite, and the penultimate mission in particular.
And BURT FUCKING REYNOLDS!!! Did you know he was also in GTA Vice City as the voice of Avery Carrington? I think he's the only Hollywood celebrity to turn up in both series of games, but his cameo in SR is definitely the most fun!

So the very first trailer is actually the announcement trailer, that's how we all knew that a new Saints Row was being made. The PR for this game was nuts, basically just showed nothing but gameplay and what you can do. Will there be a part 2 for the trailers, I think you missed a few, such as the announcement for the Full Package and some of the DLC announcement?
Also there are big names in this game. Hulk Hogan voiced Angel de la Muerte, Sasha Grey as Viola, Troy Baker (Joel from The Last of Us) as the voice of the Boss, Laura Bailey (Vex'ahlia from Vox Machina), Burt Reynolds as himself, Yuri Lowenthal (Spider-Man) as Matt Miller, Rob Van Dam (yes the wrestler) as one the announcers for S.E.R.C., and Steve Blum (Sub-Zero) as the Zombie Voice option.
There were a ton of trailers for this one 😅 we could maybe do dlc packs later on but no immediate plans. Like you said before, lots of copyright music 🤗 But we may be able to stream it still. We’ve noticed turning off monetization for streams allows you to play it without getting kicked off. That’s what we had to do with Injustice 😇 Just seems like a fun game for streams with how insane it is 😁

Saint's Row 3 was where the series started to be a little too "whacky". I still enjoyed the game but it lost a lot of the charm that SR2 had. That perfect balance of whacky and wild mixed with a solid story was shifted full tilt towards being crazy and the story suffered heavily as a result. SR3 was still a good time overall but it was absolutely the moment that signaled the death of the series for a lot of people.
SR4 and Gat out of Hell were both very lazy games that were obviously just rushed out the door to be cash grabs. SR4 for example was just supposed to be a DLC for SR3 called "Enter the Dominatrix" but EA told the developers to stuff a few extra things in and change up the story so it could be sold as a 60$ game instead of a 20$ DLC.
And the 2022 Saint's Row Reboot...is just awful. Even saying that is being generous. The game launched unfinished and is still plagued by a plethora of horrible bugs and glitches now. On top of that the story and writing feel like they were written by AI that have been fed to much of Twitter. Still I'll always remember what was once a great series.

@@lilkumquat2008 they already saw 2, why would they need to play it? I get that 2 is the fan favorite, but 3 is the one that brought A LOT of people to the SR franchise. 2 has outdated mechanics that no one uses anymore. Maybe you like to fine aim with RS/R3 but that's now exclusive to the left trigger. I'll admit that I miss a lot of things that you can do in SR2 that they completely removed from SR3, but that's just because of nostalgia. I miss the weird ads on the radio, Freckle Bitch's, layered clothing, calling a taxi, buying food to heal, picking up weapons instead of having to buy them, really nice and detailed districts that you can tell exactly where you are and how to get to your destination, cribs that are fully customizable (but aren't really useful but only as extra garages for when you're too far from your actual home), really well written bad ass gang leaders with a really good last battle (except for the General fuck that Bulldog). Anyways, everytime I load up 3 and hear that beautiful intro I know I'm in for a good and fun wacky time, plus you can't deny the music implemented to the missions was a nice touch.
Again a hardcore Saints Row fan that sold his PS3 for an Xbox 360 arcade just to get the twin pack of Saints Row. Don't regret my purchase, and I absolutely adored Gat out of Hell. I'll agree that the reboot was complete shit, but I do hope for announced DLC for the game.

This was by far my favorite installment to the saints row franchise. I believe this was the time when they were getting sued for being too much like GTA so they had to spice it up a bit and they did deliver! I believe this was also the perfect mix between the over the top-ness that we later on see with 4 (more on that later) and the more grounded saints row 2. Overall amazing experience I highly suggest you guys try it out yourselves cs the cutscnes don't do the whole game justice!

I remain a part of prayer circles around the globe, as we together dream of the day when these two wonderful people will see Max0r's video on Yakuza Zero and decide to take the plunge into either playing the game or at least watching the cutscenes. Other reaction channels have been sporadically getting into it, and the game is an easy 12/10. Even the side quests, short as they are, are memorable and amazing.
I will now attempt to sell them on the game with a single side quest's plot: the main character, Kiryu, watches a shady deal go down in a back alley. When the customer runs off, he goes up to the dealer and asks him what he's selling. The dealer asks for a password, and Kiryu is unable to give it since he doesn't know it. He decides to tail the customer, and ask him for the password.
He finds the customer, and the customer asks him for a favor in exchange for the password. Kiryu has to deliver a coded message to someone else for a deal they are doing. He delivers the coded message, but has to fight a group of mafia thugs who test his strength along the way. He wins, delivers the coded message, and has to take a second coded message back to the customer. He does.
The customer then gives him the password, a long and intricate word that is difficult to memorize without writing it down, which you are advised to physically do because the game will quiz you on it when you return to the dealer. The password is Subotenuhigeukiro, which you have to manually punch in on a keyboard.
The password is accepted, and Kiryu can now access the dealer's wares! Kiryu is so pleased that he found out what the password was. No longer is it some worldly secret he may never know, no longer is it some manner of mystery that will haunt him for the rest of his days. He found the password. He is pleased. He is content.
...He then just walks off, his curiosity entirely satisfied, with zero interest in whatever the dealer is selling.

In the last trailer volition was mimicking or rather mocking modern warfare and battlefield 3.
The game features multiple main character voice options, female, male and zombie each having their own lines throught the campaign.
Voice one is troy baker and it's one of my most favorite performances of his. In SR4 nolan north was an option too and both had a lot of fun voicing the main character.
They got some legendary voice actors for this 😯🤩

SR3 is perhaps the dumbest sequel ever made and anything you think could be in the game... is. All your faves are back, doing their thing, and you're along for the ride. While it's still controversial a decade later, there's no denying that this version and it's DLC and minisequel Like a Gat Out of Hell are quite simply the best selling iteration of the game and it's not even close. You may love or hate the super hard turn into goofyland but objectively speaking it is the funnest chapter in the game and along with IV forms a clean shot and fun as hell chapter where Volition stopped copying the competition and started actively competing with them in sales and mindshare.
You guys should give this one a try,

One of my favorite things about SR3 was the bloodthirsty pack (where I got to roleplay a vampire stalking the streets of Steelport xD ... and feeding on human shields to regain HP was nice too)

I've played Saints Row IV, enjoyed everything about it. I haven't had the chance to play 3 yet. I got it, but I'm playing Atelier Sophie 2, YS nox and Final Fantasy Crisis Core at the mo (plus My Time in Sandrock, which I've completed all storylines. Waiting for update to continue playing) I think it's goner be a while before I play it!!!!

Nice vid, btw I have a recommendation...so whenever you are gonna do dbd again,plz react to new moris of dbd netease version,this mobile version has different mori than the main game,there's a channels called "they call me toxic" and it has 2 vids/parts of 20 killers or a channel "perfection unleashed" and there is a playlist with 22 short vids..I promise you will love it

Saints Row the Third is easily the best, IMO, out of the whole series, whereas 2 was the best in terms of overall story, 3 is just mindless goofy fun with things going overboard in terms of silliness but also just plain fun. Like if you wanna play a game that is just tons of fun and not have to worry too much about what you do Saints Row the Third is the game for you.
My first ever Platinum Trophy on the PS3 all those years ago and the game that got me kicked out of music club in school. Good Times

Saint's Row 3 is a really fun game. It cranks up the insanity and absurdity of the game, and improves the gameplay. But unfortunately the writing (in terms of both the characters and story) and setting of Steelport, both take massive hits and are far worse than Saint's Row 2 was. Overall, it's a more fun game to play, but the story and characters have no weight to them.

@@lilkumquat2008 Well, IMO it's the other way around, except for when you're fighting STAG or the Luchadore Specialists, since they have body armor. Because you go through standard enemies like tissue paper, especially when you're using upgraded weapons that have incendiary rounds or explosive bullets. When it comes to SR4 or the reboot from last year though, then I'd say what you said is spot on, because the enemies feel a bit too tanky there. But at least SR4 gave you superpowers and crazy weapons that kinda make regular guns irrelevant, so it's much less noticable there.
That makes us think even more we should play it instead of watching the cutscenes if the gameplay is the best part 🙂

I need to replay that game. It's my favorite in the series. You guys remember Shaundi the pothead with "connections" everywhere? That was her in this game. The one that said "Put your tampons in, and let's do this!" She had a whole character arc somewhere between Saints 2, and 3.

Saints Row 3 is one of those games where you can tell the devs played their own game. It's one of very few games that both my wife and I keep coming back to again and again. :)
If you guys haven't seen the cutscenes for this yet then I highly recommend it, I've played more hours from this series then I have in GTA and is definitely more fun.

I’m surprised you didn’t check out the party trailer the original trailer for Central for third where are the cartel takes the elevator up to crash the Saints party the whole reason they went to steal port.
They did originally react to it, but had to cut it because of copyright. I will say that they liked the CGI trailer more as it's what they love and know.

Nope, it was introduced in SR4
Sr3 was the nail in the coffin for the series at least for me, the story disrespects the first 2 games and basically makes fun of ppl who liked the first 2 instead of respecting the series and continuing the same story after 2. We coulda had the best game in the series if they played it safe and improved on the formula but instead we got some goofy game with purple dildos, terrible plot, city, "gangs", characters, humor, gunplay, and dumbed down mechanics etc.
Fyi the big purple you know what bat is called The Penetrator.
And in SR4 you can choose different colors for it, or if you prefer it to be an "alien tentacle".
