- This is an original song that I named "Dear God," and it's about my grandad who passed away a couple of years ago. We were very close, and he was my rock. This song just describes how I was feeling at the time, but I know now that he is with God in Heaven! He's in no more pain, and that's the fact that I hold on to the most!

I have never cried as much as I did because of a song. I cried because it reminds of my grandma that past away and i didn't really get to say goodbye to her because she couldn't say anything because she had a tube down her throat and was in the hospital. I just wish she could be here with me and I wish I could have just given her a hug before she was gone.

I felt this really hard. My brother in law passed away on valentines day and I really miss him. I didn’t get the memories I wanted because he had an aneurysm burst shortly after I moved in... he was the best guy I knew.

Taylor, Thank you for this song, my grandfather passed away about three weeks ago and he was taken by SML ( a type of pre-cancer leukemia) and we had a really special bond growing up after my grandma passed away when I was really little. This is song broke me down in tears I loved it so much! I had prayed to God so hard to let him stay alive until he could meet his first grandbaby, but like you said, it's all part of God's perfect and sovereign plan.

you have no idea how much i can relate to this song!!! i found it shorty after both my great grandpa’s passed only 6 months apart from each other. the line “i didn’t get to say goodbye, i mean i did but it’s not what i wanted to say at the time” hit sooo close to home for both situations in their passings. my grandpa kuck was in a nursing home after getting released from the hospital and my church took and trip retreat and part of the retreat was to visit the folks in that same nursing home so i went with my sister and some people from my church to see him and him being the man he was, loved to hear i was there with the church. little did i know that would be the last time i would see him. and as for my grandpa stebbins he always took care of my grandma who has alzheimer’s (really they are a real life nicholas sparks story) so he was always worried ab her and we found out a week before he passed that he has stage 5 kidney disease/failure and the day he was going to start his treatment he passed and i never got to really say goodbye. it’s funny how we can never say enough to the people who surround us but once their gone all we wish for us to have just 5 more minutes with them to say and tell them the things we wish we would have had the time to say while they were still here.... great song taylor!! if you don’t mind i have a song suggestion... if it’s not to upsetting could you write another song ab loss, id love to hear what you come up with and how you put it to words and ik that it could be very comforting to so many people myself included.
