I learnt the hard way that when a woman says she is a feminist/doesn't need men/can look after herself... then let her. Don't help, don't assist and move on to the next one. Save yourself a lot of headaches.
Annie - The topic of feminism in the Philippines is excellent, and it's an important topic to discuss. However, in my opinion, feminism is much different in the Philippines as compared to the West. The Filipino culture still believes that a man is needed in the family, and both men and women have specific roles to play. The woman I marry one day (Annie taking applications) would be a stay-at-home wife. Being a stay-at-home wife and mother is one of the most significant jobs in the world, and it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Women who stay at home and care for their families should be respected and appreciated for their efforts. It's important to understand that the decision to be a stay-at-home wife should be a personal choice, but a woman has to ask herself, what is most important my family or my career. Women should be free to choose their path in life without any societal pressure or expectations. Charles
hi Phin, thank you for sharing your thoughts i know everyone deserves the opportunity to live a life that is aligns with their values and aspiration. 😉
If a woman doesn't need me, then she doesn't get me. I don't care to end up being treated as disposable waste. How is she ever going to love a man she doesn't need?
Yet another excellent subject Annie & well presented, you're going from strength to strength 👏 To all Filipinas, please consider what you've got & cherish it, chasing things of the West, including feminism will only bring sorrow. The West is broke because of poor choices, think about it.
@@DearANNIE28 Exactly Annie. Definitely a different perspective of "Feminism". This is what the West perhaps envisioned. What exists now in the West is not Equality but a favoritism towards women and IMHO all "protected" groups of people. I believe that most women in the West would have answered "No" to the question "Do you need a man in your life?" They may want a man in their life but often aren't willing to make the sacrifices necessary to make a relationship successful. Refreshing to see that this mentality hasn't been fully adopted here. I do believe that Western men would have great difficulty surrendering their entire paycheck to their wife regardless of the circumstances. This comes from our history of "donating" 50%+ of all our assets in the event of divorce even if the woman is the person initiating that act. Keep up the good work Annie👍

Annie, there is a vast difference between “needing” a man and “wanting” a man in their life. Just as there is when it comes to men seeking women. Some of us appreciate a strong independent woman that still holds traditional values within. That is tough to find here in the USA. I think that is one of the main reasons men are heading that way to find a good companion. We are tired of fighting, as you wisely said, a woman that seeks superiority versus equality in life.

Listening to these Filipinas not make any sense. I'm less and less interested in PH and more interested in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam. The only reason to be in PH is Filipinas. Now that they want to copy American women there's not much reason to go to PH. Sure today the problem isn't wide spread, but getting into a 20-30 year relationship what is a Filipina partner going to turn into?

I enjoyed your video but Western Feminism is coming to the Philippines like it or not. And unless more Filipina women dont start talking about this issue it will be a problem here like it is in the west. Men and women are not equal. Equal means the same.
Remind you feminism is strong in the west because of the laws that are enforced. There is less corruption as well that women can remain protected. Filipinos both male and female do not have that privilege . We have to rely on our family members for support and protection because philippine government is not as strong .
@@rl8571 Lol. The Philippines have Branagay and I'm guessing you haven't been to the Philippines ? Women have them to go to and the guy will be held accountable , ive seem this myself .
I think you are depending too heavily on the internet’s idea of what feminism is, which is most generously radical feminism and at worst a sloppy strawman. There were some very reasonable and IMO correct interpretations in there (“I shouldn’t have to rely on men but I still like them”) and it makes me happy that internet brainrot hasn’t consumed everyone around the world (yet). You say that the Philippines don’t need feminism, but let’s talk about a serious problem: teen pregnancy and single mothers. This is a feminist issue because women are expected to take care of these children regardless of where the father may be. You may not like the modern Western answer (sex education and free contraception) but clearly the Catholic solution no longer works (abstinence) and it mandates a lifetime of responsibility, borne only by the mother.
Hi Enginerdy, thank you for watching the video, Different cultures have different approaches, and finding the best solutions often requires open-minded discussions and collaboration. thanks for sharing your perspective🥰😇
Personaly i dont think the majority of the phillippines woman want anything to do with " Feminism " , maybe the few that are OFW or are born in a western world and came to live in the phillippines , will have that mindset , but in general , what most philliippines woman wants in my experience is to be more and more independent in everything. Specialy earning there own income , which is ofcourse the best thing to do always.....Just a few more days before your birthday , godbless you on this very special and wonderfull day and ofcourse your whole family which just like us all is very proud of you , always stay safe......

I enjoyed your video but Western Feminism is coming to the Philippines like it or not. And unless more Filipina women dont start talking about this issue it will be a problem here like it is in the west. Men and women are not equal. Equal means the same.
I've been here 10 ysers and I don't see that happening .
Remind you feminism is strong in the west because of the laws that are enforced. There is less corruption as well that women can remain protected. Filipinos both male and female do not have that privilege . We have to rely on our family members for support and protection because philippine government is not as strong .

Lol. The Philippines have Branagay and I'm guessing you haven't been to the Philippines ? Women have them to go to and the guy will be held accountable , ive seem this myself .
@@rl8571 That might be true but feminism is influencing this country.
@@jamestopeka2236 It still does not mean its not occurring.
Hello eddy, how are you!? sounds like you've observed a trend among Filipino women , That's a positive shift that reflects empowerment and self-sufficiency. And thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I appreciate your kind words and blessings.🥰
