I like your process of mixing the gelatin with a little warm cream adding after you’ve whipped it till soft peaks. It looks like the risk of gelatin globs isn’t a problem. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this recipe can the gelatine being used when using Philadelphia cream cheese, in Ireland you cannot get the black Philadelphia it's more stabilized.for frosting cakes, I would be greatful for your opinion and any ideas.greetings from dublin Patricia 🇮🇪 happy,Easter
Does this taste like the whipped cream frosting you'd taste on a cake from a grocery store? Do we have to use that much powder sugar? When I make a reg batch of whipped cream frosting the most I've ever used is 5 tbsp per 1 cup of whipped cream. Anymore and it becomes too sweet. I know the corn starch in it helps to stabilize it just a bit but I'm not sure if you're relying on both the sugar and gelatin to make it this stable. Thanks in advance...
2 cups of heavy cream and 1 cup of powdered sugar ( add a little more if you want it sweeter). Mix for about 5 - 7 minutes but it really depends… just keep an eye on the mixture, you will see when it comes together.
It’s not in the description box cause I clicked on the link a pop -up page came up instead showing different videos and nothing about what you are showing
I'm making a cake for this weekend. They want whipped cream frosting and they want sprinkles all around the cake. Will the sprinkles stay on? I'm afraid the sprinkles will start to droop.
Are you asking if you can add the gelatin powder to the powdered whipped cream? Dissolve the gelatin powder with warm water or put it in the microwave to liquify it.
@@tatianadelgado9982 No I said flavoring of your choice, in the video I used both vanilla extract and pineapple extract to flavor my frosting. Then the gelatin is to make the frosting stable, however, you can also use flavored gelatin (jello, sometimes I use strawberry jello) but the colour of the frosting will change with the flavored jello.
No I did not double the recipe. Melt your gelatin in the microwave and add no more than 3 tbsps of water. ( I didn’t use a microwave so I added a bit more water to mine) but try to add less liquid to your whipped cream frosting.
Sorry to hear that, I use Alra whipping cream and it never fails, just as long as I use the right recipe and everything is cold including my utensils when mixing.
Oh my, maybe you are under whipping or over whipping, or maybe the cream is at fault I’m so sorry to hear that… I do it like this all the time and it always comes out right. Maybe change the brand of cream, try Alra if it’s available in your area.
TIPS: -make sure that your bowl is cold, place it in the freezer for about an hour before using. - make sure that you cream is very cold - do not whip your cream for a longer time, it will turn into butter.

Thank you
hi, what brand of heavy cream did you use? Thanks!
@@JairiLopez hi, I used Alra in this video but any other brand of whipping cream can be used.
If I want it to just be vanilla does this mean I need 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract?
@@controlyournumbers100 no just use a quality vanilla. Once the flavor is strong you only need 1 tsp. (The vanilla I used in the video wasn’t strong)
Hi there, Please like and subscribe ❤
I’m going to try this
Great 👍
Watch to the end to see how beautifully it colors and how super stable it is.

Hi happy Easter. Yes gelatin can also be used to stabilize cream cheese frosting.
Beautiful what kinda mixer do u have
Hello, it’s a Hamilton Beach, it works perfect for me. 😊

Yes it does taste like that and you can also alter the sugar to make it less sweet but it might not be as stable with way less sugar.
Can I decorate cakes with this like flower/rose designs? Also is this amount enough to ice and decorate a round 8" cake?
Yes it can ice an 8” cake. It can make flowers but they wouldn’t be as firm as buttercream roses.
@@cakenthings thanks for your reply! will try it soon.
Hola..una consulta la crema no se pone porosa????. Que cantidades g de crema y de gelatina usas??
The frosting will be stable. I used 1 sachet of gelatin.
I love this! Do you have to use it right away or can you prep a day in advance?
Yes you can prepare this the day before and store in airtight container.
@@cakenthings awesome! Thank you!
@@cakenthings btw can I rewhip?
@@madcakez yes just a little bit to get it smooth and fluffy.
How much heavy cream and powdered sugar do I add and after I add the powdered sugar how long do I mix it to get the stiff little consistency.

thank you ! still one question, is the whipped cream is it room temperature or is it cold
Hi, your whipping cream has to be cold or else your frosting will turn out too soft and runny.
@@cakenthings thank you
Nice

Thank you
Great tips. Can we use with fondant decoration on top . Will it stick to it🙏
Yes you absolutely can but refrigerate your cake first. 👍
Is it necessary galetin for frosting. Or stabilise the whip cream...?
It’s to stabilize the whipped cream.
is it dairy or non-dairy whipping cream? thanks
Dairy

Alguien q me diga donde puedo comprar esa crema q está utilizando aquí en USA
It’s heavy whipping cream, you can get it at any grocery store.
Hello... Is the warm cream the whipping cream? Or what kind is it?
Yes it is whipping cream
I have powdered whipped cream. Can I just add the powder to the powered who
L cream and just whip it?
Are you asking if you can add the gelatin powder to the powdered whipped cream? Dissolve the gelatin powder with warm water or put it in the microwave to liquify it.
In the recipe you commented it said 1tbsp favoring of gelatin i didn’t see that in the video is that just like vanilla pudding ?
Or is that the gelatin mixture?

How long will the frosting stand at room temperature?
I did a test and left my cake out for 24 hours and the frosting held up… but for freshness you need to keep it refrigerated.
Did you double the recipe 'cos you clearly used more than 3 tbsp of cold water. Thanks.

Hi, I promise that this works wonders, you can melt the gelatin in the microwave also.🥰 good luck😁
Can it curdle if we overmix?
Yes, stop mixing when firm peaks are formed.
How many grams is your gelatin?
I don't have the same packet
7 grams
Tried using amul whipping cream, it got whipped well, but when used for frosting it started melting. Failed efforts

Yes
I’m sorry but I did it twice just as I saw in the video. And once I add the powdered sugar it turn into nothing but water cream.

This whipped cream frosting is super stable, it will hold up for as long until you eat your cake. Keep it refrigerated until ready to use.
Is this icing sugar @@cakenthings
Yes it is icing sugar, in some countries it’s called powdered sugar or confectioners sugar.
