My problem was to get the balance bar level when tightening the nut. I don’t know why it wants to pivot to the one side. The cables are free and good.

The trick is, and this isn't shown in the video, to push the balance bar up so it locks against the body rather than use a spanner as I did to lock against the body. Just be real careful when tightening because if you go too far the hand brake will become ineffective and may bind on. Spinning the back wheel you have off the ground is usually a good guide.

      @@TheFakeRussian Okay thanks!
The reason I touched the adjuster was that after I had replaced the brake caliper the handbrake would not grab no matter what I did. I have aligned the piston according to Haynes and different forums regarding the cutout on the piston. Pumped the brake padel and pulled the handbrake many times and it still is not enough. Any ideas?

@@knulleriboy If your caliper is like mine the bump stop will be between two Allen headed bolts on the caliper. If that's the case you could either press the foot brake and apply the hand brake so the piston is under pressure when it's applied or remove the hand brake cable on the calipers and manually ratchet out the piston using the lever bar until you get to a point where the wheel stops rotating so when it's relaxed it releases. Then on the adjuster under the car put a 1mm shim in where the bump stop rests against the Allen bolt head and adjust the balance bar until the shim drops down a tiny bit.
