I looked up IPPUDO locations and found out there is one in Berkeley California which is 15 miles from my house. Each bowl cost USD $16-19. I can't wait to return to Japan for more affordable ramen!!
Arigato for this great video Inok. I love ramen, especially tonkotsu ramen, and I am also a fan of Ippudo, so that video makes me very hungry. Unfortunately, in Switzerland (or at least were I live), its impossible to get good ramen. So I am already looking forward to my next trip to Japan, which will hopefully be in February/March next year. If you have experience in travelling to Hokkaido and Okinawa (I know, two totally different places), which would you rather choose ? We will have to rely on public transport, as we both dont drive.
nice!! I hope you have wonderful trip to have Tonkotsu ramen in Japan next time!! I love warm place and weather so it's obviously okinawa is better for me!!😁
Kitasenju is really good town for living! but I'm not too sure it's good for RUclips and food over there... Give me some time to research for the video!!
@foodinjapan2256 funny my wife said the same she went to school there she said to me nothing there!!! ? 😆 but if u feel it's not worth going there please tell me!! 🙏✌️
@@foodinjapan2256When I said "real quick", I mean it 🤣 I just had my bowl at the Louvre location, and quite enjoyed it! I ordered a Karaka Spécial (=Kiwami Karaka) with bari-kata noodles, no sides, and a glass of Kaku Highball : > The broth was rich and especially creamy > Noodles were thinner than what I'm used to, but still good and perfectly cooked > All of the toppings went perfectly with the broth, the chashu was tender and tasty, but my favorite was the minced meat > Only negatives were the egg yolk was a bit overcooked and the bowl as a whole wasn't spicy enough, but that's just a me issue honestly 😅 > In total the meal (ramen + drink) was €29 (≈¥4941) which is considered the average in Paris I took a couple of pictures of the menu and dish, if you want 👌🏼
@@ththrshpnd real quick, never mind🤣 > Only negatives were the egg yolk was a bit overcooked and the bowl as a whole wasn't spicy enough, but that's just a me issue honestly I love runny egg yolk so I know what you feel!! > In total the meal (ramen + drink) was €29 (≈¥4941) which is considered the average in Paris It sounds really expensive for me!! Other Japanese food is also pretty pricey?
@@foodinjapan2256 My favorite spot in Paris - Neko Ramen - is more affordable (¥2811 for their Tonkotsu Special compared to ¥3407 for Ippudo's Karaka Spécial), but Ippudo's not price gouging either 🤣
