FESTOOL RTS 400 hands on demonstration. Dustless sanding drywall!

Quick hands on demonstration for FESTOOL RTS 400, sanding drywall inside corners. I have used various dustless sanders to sand inside corners but i have found this sander to be the best and easiest to use. With this sander and having sandpaper adjusted properly (1/8’’ before foam pad) you can achieve really crisp inside corners and most importantly… Dustless! The foam pad around the sander is the best design i have found in sanders of this style and you get absolutely no damage to the other surface because of this. This sander is of course… also great for sanding woodwork and can quickly remove material using the appropriate sand paper. Hope this helps!

I don't really like using the DTS unless it's a hard to reach area/angle. This sander is super easy to use in corners because it's flat and you can bump it right to the corner.

Are u sanding paint or mud

I am sanding a really tight skim coat, Level 5 finish so the entire surface gets mud. Some areas were primed previously so with mud being white as well everything blends in 🤣

@@302drywall_painting what grit paper and pad are you using on the sander? I tried using this sander but it was digging into the insider corners too much.

@@Marvelman89 I use 220 grit. You have to work on your technique and also make sure the sander is not going too fast or too slow and even pressure. Sometimes to get into tight corners you have to put more pressure towards the front and lift the back just a tad bit.

I have been using 320 on mud and having issues with these deep pigtails with the rts. Have you experienced that at all?
