Yeah! When I Koji Atwood play the piece ages ago, he brought out the left hand really well, and that made me want to learn the piece. Scriabin often likes to write melodies in the bass/tenor rather than the straight bass lines we’re used to hearing.
Ha, I didn't know it was just a month prior! In that context I imagine the push and pull of romance was on his mind when he wrote the piece. Sad story between the two of them!

This piece was actually composed when scriabin, was with another woman, Natalya Sekerina one month before they broke up :(
