This is when I knew jack was built for acting/voice acting. He can do it so well like it comes so natural to him.
I’ve just now realised something. yuri, sayori and natsuki all stand at an angle, not looking at you head on, in other words, not being aware of your existence. monika, however, breaks this rule. she looks straight at the camera. and unlike the others, she never looks away from you at any point in the game, she knows. she knows she’s in a game. she’s not looking at the main character. she’s looking at YOU. dan salvato is a genius.

It said that at the beginning of the game and I didn't take it seriously and then as I played more it fucked up my mind
Everything’s from Monika being the closest to you in the startup screen, her name being the only one that doesn’t end with an I, and the fact she wears black socks and pink shoes is meant to make her feel different to the player. Straight from the beginning they’re supposed to get a different feel from her.
She also never looks away from you during the actual game, and only closes her eyes once.
Another thing is that she always faces forward
And her hair not being colored
And she has the most movement of all the characters with the most extreme poses (everyone else just moves a little and keeps their elbows close, but she takes up a lot of space and changes poses much more often)
She’s the only one with normal colored hair-

Yuri’s foreshadowing of the entire plot of the game while talking about her book is giving me chills and is fucking scary and is absolutely GENIUS. The fact that Jack called it too oml. I find so many new things every time I experience this game.

This game is so fucking amazing with it's foreshadowing when the player doesn't even know it. And also jack, make sure to check the game files recently. It's crucial.

I am so glad I went into this game mostly spoiler free
I knew not to get attached because I knew most would die, I also knew monika was the main antagonist
Despite that, I still got attached.
This game was amazing, one of the best instances of physiological horror storytelling I hade ever seen. Especially with the fourth wall breaks.
I watched the game with 0% spoilers, got too attached to Sayori and... dont want to talk about the rest

Heres a mini theory:
In monika s first poem “hole in wall”i have a theory that the hole is a webcam and the last part evens it out a lot. “ I wasn’t looking in ,i was looking out. And he was looking in” the “he” is the person using the computer , Monika , being an ai trapped in the cumputers code, has the ability to look out through the webcam “my retina, scorched with the image” (i dont really have a solid theory for this line) i think that that means that Monika, being part of the code, has taken the image of our appearance and put it in her file , therefore never being able to forget it
