Thanks for doing such a great job explaining all the dials and buttons. For such a long time I've only used the camera on my phone. I was gifted a gently used Canon EOS 60D and don't have a clue how to use it, so I'm very glad I found your series. Looking forward to learning more!
Thank you so much Richard! My wife gave me an. EOS 60D with a 18- 55 mm zoom lens for my birthday. I haven't had a reflex (good) camera since my NikonF Photomic T was stolen in 1975! Whew, things have changed! Please continue the demonstration series on this camera! Thank you sir! Alan Alan V. Cecil Randallstown, MD USA
Hello Richard I enjoyed your series of videos on the Canon 60D I have a Canon 600D and I have a 60D on order. Much of the menu on the 60d seems very similar to the 600d so with the help oh your videos I hope I won't have to much trouble finding my way around my 60D when it comes.
very informative, I watched the whole series straight through and now i am watching a second time with my camera in my hand and following along P.S. i have a 128 gb card in my 60d and i tried a 256 just to see if it worked. i download all my pics daily so i do not carry them around on the card any longer than it takes me to get back home to download them
I have a question: when I turn on the camera does it always default to an eye viewfinder and the button must be pressed to activate Live View, or there is a way or setting to default it to Live View right after turning camera on? Thanks!
Hello Richard, Great video and explanation for some beginner like me, I bought second-hand EOS 60D, so I think there must be some fiture(s) that doesn't work properly, I believe there is a button to open the flash manually, but when I push that button, the flash won't open, is there anything I can do ? I want to make a photograph with a fit rectangular dimension, how do I manage to get it? and also, is there any tutorial in words type from you ? so that I can read it and practice it easily? Thanks before for your help
Hi John D+ is highlight tone priority. it starts at 200 as a base iso. You can turn it off in the custom function menus. Once turned off you can then set ISO 100.
I just got mine, it was working fine until I inserted a memory card and it went off hand has remained off since. I charged the battery again and tried and it's still off but when I removed the memory card it came on briefly and died again. Any suggestions?
Check that the battery is good, not just charged. In the battery info screen it will tell you the health of it 3 green bars or one read bar. Assuming no other issues I suspect it could be a bad battery due to age. Had the same thing happen to my 5DsR recently, old batteries were the problem.. thankfully.
Hi, thanks for the video. At 6.21 on the clip it shows the menu screen which has 4 Red boxes. i have a 60D and mine only shows 2 Red boxes. i have been trying to find the Picture style options that allow me to take monochrome pictures. Any ideas please?
@@rickjbradbury Thanks Richard, i've had the camera for several years but i'm old school, still prefer my 35mm and developing my own shots. When i retire i'll have more time to play with it but i did with your tutorials help this morning find that if i put it into TV mode i could set it to mono. I'll now watch the rest of the tutorials. Thanks again.

Trying to set my iso to 100, but the D+ doesn't allow me to do that. How do I reset? What does D+ even mean?

My 60D doesn't have nearly as many icons across the top of the rear flip screen. How come?
You need to change something in the settings

Hi John,It will depend what mode you have the camera in. Manual for example show more menu options than the automatic modes.

How to connect eos 60d with iPhone?
The 60D does not have Wi-Fi so you won't be able to do that.
Cannot Understand half of the things that he is saying and it's not a HDMI port😐
