- On December 1st, 1997, Celine Dion took part in the Royal Variety Performance, at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London, UK. The televised variety show is held annually in the United Kingdom to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity. Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II was there. The show was broadcast on December 6, 1997 on ITV channel.

I've always thought it was just insane that she could do that time & time again without any flaws. Perfect pitch, perfect vibrato, perfect timing, perfect breath control, perfect enunciation & on & on. Yet, every single performance is breathtaking & a new experience, every single time! It had to be a strain having to live up to that kind of perfection. I sure hope she get's her vocal abilities back. But if your muscles aren't doing what you want them to do, there's no way to have that kind of agility. So her decline was inevitable, to a point & I expected it...But not like this!... She has many more years before age would have affected her voice. Thank God she has her kids. And now she will become an activist. There's no shame in that! She's a fighter! If anyone can conquer this battle, Celine can! I wish I could tell her a joke or something. I want her to be happy. She deserves it, so much.💞💞
Holy mother of god! What a talent! She is definitely one of the greatest pop vocalists of all time! This vocal performance is just as good as the recorded version.
This is why I'm her fan, I'll always praise her out of the world vocal talent and the warm person she is.

It’s not just you, but she was very nervous that night, so that’s probably why.
A little bit, yeah, as said before, maybe because of the microphone and the whole audio setting - it was pretty much a fancy karaoke, so no one really balancing/mixing the sound properly.. However, I guess she hardly ever performed this song in the original key.. so who cares about a little whining here and there? she's a legend...
