- Ok guys and gals we have done it. This video, showing the install of the Turbo Socks front mount intercooler, completes our intercooler install series for the Gen1 Veloster Turbo 2012-17. We now have a collection of all 3 of the most popular front mount intercoolers on the market for the gen1 VT : 845, Sxth Element and now Turbo Socks.. This video is much less in depth than our other 2 for sake of not wanting to be too redundant. Also we show the installation of a HKS BOV. In this case it is mounted on the cold charge pipe but installation will be the same for a core mounted HKS as well. Thank you for the video, was nice to find a good how to for the BOV install.
By far one of the best vids as there are not many out there for this install. Good job I would only recommend next time doing the work during the day or a well lite garage. Adding the freeze frame of the solenoid was perfect! Just a quick question as well, what size hose did you use for the intercooler pipe (not sure if its the right terminology but it's the one that didnt fit in the video)

Would you by chance know if the isr performance race exhaust made for the 2013-2015 Veloster will fit a 2016 Veloster rspec?? I see comments of people saying they’re getting one for there 2016 model but I wanna make sure it fits and can’t find any specs, looking for a loud great sounding exhaust to go with the pierce downpipe and I love the sound of the isr. Any help will help a lot! Love the channel, keep up the great work
For the snap ring appliers I’ll check what they use at work. They are used on every Harley Davidson motorcycle that is built in the USA and we have been using the same set for atleast a year. 640 bikes a day, 2 snap rings a pipe. 1280 applications a day for a year should hold you up for a while 😂
If you mount on aging you can actually angle it forward increasing airflow and fits in bumper
How much hp and TQ made this intercooler compared with the stock one , worth the investment 🤷♂️❓
