- This library is close to a working class area in the suburbs of the Chinese city of Nanjing. The building is really big with interesting architecture. There is a blent of Chinese design, nature and futurism inside the building. An automated system moves returned books around the library. Come and explore this suburban chinese library with me.

@@User-kjxklyntrw thanks for the recommendations 👍✌️
Wow. This library would be a tourist destination in Canada. LOL China is building some of the best infrastructure in the world these days. Kudos to their architects and engineers.
it`s actually not a "worker`s class library" but Nanjing`s main library, a city 0f 10 million people.
Great job. You're doing China's development justice.
Thank you 😊
very nice meet you yesterday. I will visit this book store after holiday.
Nice to meet you too. Yeah, it’s a nice place if you like books.
Truly impressed.
What a gorgeous library!!!
Love the automation.
better than in Toronto, huh?
Classy.
Fascinating! Love the things you captured and the way of filming it in this video. Most relaxing enjoyable on You-tube this weekend . ❤✌
Awesome, glad you found it relaxing ✌️🌻 thanks again for your kind words 👍
Amazing library, great video and music 👏👏👏👏👏👍
It is! Thank you very much ✌️👍
Amazing, tks for sharing!😮
@@margarettang2201 thanks for watching 😁
Greetings, always interesting videos. Thanks
Thanks again 🙏😀
It's good China built more library for its people to learn. Can also be a place to relax. I notice that this library also built higher above ground. Somebody has to walk up stairs to reach the entrance.
Maybe two elevators are available for people to move from the ground level to the lobby area.
@@woojongson5431 I think it can be a good plan in the case of flood the collection of books are kept safe from water damage. Just my thought.
It says “eastern door “ , so there are more than one entrance.
There are at least three entrances. The East gate takes you to the ground level 1 floor where they have the coffee shop, event rooms and the Children’s library. You can use escalators next to the East door to go up to the higher floors or the lifts. There’s no real need to climb up all the stairs to that entrance but the design looks much better that way
Yeah there are elevators and escalators
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Incredible.
Exquisite!
It's not a 'working class' library. It's a public library for everyone.
@@lingfengge6666 of course 😁 but it’s close to working class areas and I needs a title different from my last library video
I'm not dreaming is China. Ty Adam
Thank you 👍
I love the libraries in China. They're so modern futuristic clean spacious large and quiet, and have a great atmosphere for studying and learning
Is this one in Nanjing?
Public library.
Yes
Excuse me, is this in Pukou or Hexi, Nanjing?😂
@@peterwoo2706 Pukou 👍
Think you can find any books on Albert Einstein's theory of relativity,,,
I would imagine it’s there somewhere. I’ll have a look next time I visit a library here
I notice, in your video, many books with titles in English. Do many also have English text as well? I'm trying to find books about the Chinese government structure in English by PRC authors. The only ones I've read were written by American scholars and have a bias I'd like to avoid.
Hi John, no, even with English titles, they are all in Chinese. I’ll have a look for you on some Chinese stores and see if I can find anything in English.
I've had a search online. You could try these websites: if they don't have the books accessible send an email and maybe they can point you in the right direction: Chinabooks, China International Publishing Group (CIPG), Dushu,
Wow! Thanks for the info. I’ll let you know the results!
@@johnbotsford6897 thank you, that would be great 👍
I hope《Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order: Why Nations Succeed and Fail》and 《Governing China: From Revolution Through Reform》can help you (Not Chinese writer). 《置身事内》is a good book which explains how Chinese goverment govers the coounty and why in this way, but I don't find a English version for you.
Middle class?
It’s in Pukou district of the city so a less wealthy district. There is some working class and middle class housing in the area. I have a future video in a more middle class area and this one is closer to working class areas 😁
很美的南京图书馆
It is an awesome library
