I swear, I get the same bloody adds and recommendations of Wish videos on youtube. I haven't looked it up since the movie got out, and now it all of a sudden, this movie slides in like that annoying conspiracy theories uncle at a family gathering😂
what when learn 90% of them were conspricy FACTS and not theorys but so dumb still call then "conspriacy THEORYS" look up what the word CONSPIRACY even means!
Considering how the king is portrayed to be a narcissist (randomly out of nowhere in the middle of the movie), you'd think that he would name the kingdom after himself, especially since he was the one who built it from nothing. But I guess it wouldn't have been marketable enough for Disney.
Disney just did everything wrong with wish, cause Magnifico wasn't a bad guy. Sure he was narcissistic and only granted the best wishes, but he could have learned that lesson by the end of the movie, instead of getting corrupted cause of Asha, as well as betrayed by his wife, which he genuinely love
The detail that I've been constantly thinkung about recently is Asha's job as a tour guide. When the movie starts, she's rushing to the city, sings a song about the kingdom wich was such a lame piece of exposition they tried to shove down our throats and then....Her job is just never brought up again! It makes the exposition song even more pathetic because if you think of it, the only purpouse of Asha being a tour guide was to sing that damn song! If they brought it up again JUST ONE MORE TIME further in the movie I would have no problem with it nd wouldn't even question why did she choose to work for a king instead of her current job but they didn't! They had almost perfect oportunity to make a reference to her being a tour guide when in the scene where Asha and Valentino were chased by guards or something, they ran into a dead end and Valentino found a way out by scratching his butt against the boards...Just imagine how much better this scene would be if Asha instead figured out the way to escape by herself because she works in this city daily and she knows it better than everyone else... But I guess the butt joke was more important, yeah, silly me
In Spanish, you can call people "mi rey/reina", "mi príncipe ", "lucero", "estrella"... amor, cariño, sol... all those just mean "darling" in a context of relationship. So she just calls him "mi rey", and in Spanish that feels like "my love". But yeah, it also kinda validates him and his ego for sure!

(I tend to consume more English media so that's probably a misconception on my part) Even so, if it was equal affection, I still find it odd that it was so easy for her to let go of him. If not like he was- oh I don't know- the love of your life?? Who you've been woth (I assume) about 20+ years??? It's still odd. Thank you for the correction though!
@@depressofe that ease that she turned on him i was shocked like... she shown devotion all movie and life and then she is "uh oh... he is going thru stuff eww no". Maybe she was the villain and she wanted to be sole monarch.
@@depressofePretty sure that both the queen and king Magnifico were originally a villain couple, but for whatever reason was changed and we ended up with this final result.
This was actually really interesting, I agree with your points PRINCIPALLY about magic and diversity, thy could've done so much cool stuff and even detail the background story a little more with that- also, happy birthday for you channel !
I think that the kingdom's name Rosas is supposed to be a Beauty and the Beast reference because of the sheer quantity of references to other Disney movies. There are rose symbols everywhere in the film, but they're hard to see because of the awful color palette. The colors are all washed out and nothing pops.

Proof?! it has a 81% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and was wlel received by everyone else in real life. It will be considered a underrated classic in the future. Watch Smarty Pants and AniMat's reviews on the film instead. they truley UNDERSTAND this film as a loveletter for disney.
If you liked Wish that's great, I'm glad it has genuine fans! But your approach of "you're wrong the movie was good because I and a lot of other peope liked it" is just as bad a take as "I and other people didn't like it therefore if you think it was good you're wrong". Media is subjective. In my opinion, the movie had a lot of potential but failed in a lot of ways (storywriting, character arcs, the confusing way they handled the villain, the lyrics of the songs...). It's not the worst by a longshot, but it could have been a lot better. I get that videos like these are literally everywhere, but hey, everyone has opinions. I'm sure there are videos defending Wish, I've seen at least one where the review was mostly positive.
So basically: "You're wrong because you don't like it", kid stop making COMMENT ESSAYS if you're sick of these video essays, learn manners and stop barking.
Audience Score is 81% though and everyone else i talked to in real life and outside of RUclips and Reddit said they loved it.. This video is why these "Wish is bad" video essays need to die already! This film was actually Disney's best and deserves more love
