I'm surprised you've never had any issues doing this. OEM says never to do this because you'd get uneven heat distribution and fail your filters prematurely. This is due to the uncleaned hot spots you leave by unevenly cleaning them like this. And if it doesn't fail. You'd also be removing a lot less soot and you would require cleaning a lot sooner. And DPF's don't have to necessarily show any visible signs of failure for them to be bad - passing soot.

Good deal Victor.. had my 2019 plugged into the computer. The ash volume came up as 98% full... I seen the water cleaning years ago glad its more common now.. You just used the hose with a gun nozzle?
