this song and mv means a lot to me in my life because whenever i listened to this i immediately remembered my own pandemic routines, which helped me a lot for realizing and having the steps to my next chapter. 1. I didn’t realize this song was so relatable to me because I didn’t read the translated lyrics
2. I thought their robotic eye was just a black eye and thought they came back from a street fight in the first scene.

i love this song, and this makes so much sense. i feel like, the frog thing is his heart. it’s seen taking care of him like you said by cleaning, cooking and waking him up. we see tobis, take cigarettes off of him, and care for him, and we see q-ta try to protect rei all the time. i think it would make sense for it to be his hearts form, as that is when he’d need it most.
It could be thinking about.
I think the frog could make a reference to that famous saying "If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning" from a famous book "Eat That Frog" that talks about how to stop procrastinating

I sorta relate to this song more than I thought, I even make content in my mind instead of thinking what I originally planned about cause it's easier for brain, similar to when I work using a device and then switch to something else without noticing, this vid's a good reminder to fix that somehow lol

Your explanation takes me back to the first half of 2020, and how detached I felt back then due to the pandemic, me 6 months in as a new college graduate and having a lack of control in things that I really don't worry about anymore.

wow. this is weird.
I discovered the original song around the same time last year. it quickly stuck with me.
on the day of my birthday, which sucked, I listen to this song on loop for like an hour. and that was actually the better part of the day.
but i never understood the lyrics. i just felt they were relatable. though i knew the "don't replay the boredom" part.
here i am exactly one year later. I purposely avoided the one song, even though i still listen to other ones from Eve.
Watching this I feel like I took the message completely the wrong way.

but the fight back was something i couldn't have picked up from the tone alone. it makes the song feel more complete now.

it's been years since I started my art journey. someone put a drawing of mine as their profile picture.
I've been getting called "good".
im so used to being self propelled. it's weird.
it does not feel deserved but, at least for this previous summer, I've been drawing for 6 hours a day at least.
but, it's comedic in a way to be honest. 7 years of drawing.
and what you get is to be treated as inhuman at best.
I already felt the direction of how opinions about me went. while they're few, it's more addressed at "coins, the entity that makes stuff" and not at me as a person.
somehow its either being unrelatable by being the "always has been there" or the uninteresting failed idiot.
there's really no end goal. I knew it was an easy guess, but yeah.
(these are just my thoughts at the moment. I'm feeling happy but it just feels bittersweet/funny.
feel free to read if you wanna hear the thoughts of someone stupid enough to sink their existence into one thing.
knowing exactly how the journey would unfold beforehand. and still doing it. and still questioning "why" xD

I've grown up poor enough for food to be a problem. lost a close friend at 13. both poor idiots. no prospects in existence.
in fact, I base most of my hard work on the fact that I'm "living for the both of us."
giving up. getting hospitalized. nearly dying there.
coming back. and everyone is so into their lives that it just feels like I'm a cartoon character. I'll never be a real person.

I relate to this, numbing my fears of reality by so much indulgence of content.....while I waited for you I came across translations deciphering the song as that of drug addiction (use of "vomit") so yours was really eye opening (no pun intended).....yeah I did feel called out for a bit 😂😂 but I need gentle reminders to ease myself of such distractions. I have semester exams in a few weeks so I eventually need to face the real horrifying world.

this is very late, but i was thinking about this song lately~ im curious as to the simalarities between the lighter haired girl in this mv and the girl in as you like it (their hair color, outfit, ect.). I also noticed that the girl from as you like it wasn't with as you like it boy and handman in the scene where they stand at mc's door. this is probably all just nonsense, but never mind that... this video was great as usual! thanks : )

I can relate with this song for personal reasons... it's about coping mechanism after all, which is I believe relate with many people too
sometimes, it's easy to do something that distract you in order to turn blind on reality but deep down you know that distraction only help you a little and it won't really solve any problems, you get addicted and stressed in the same time.
