These cards are so cute, exspecaily the purple one, I cried for you getting the smudged black dot.smile Thank You! Enjoy your children see you tomorrow
ha ha, i fixed it now though. I waited for it to dry, picked it off, then used a sand eraser to remove the smudge, then added 2 new dots to cover the slightly scuffed card. wahoooo good as new
First one took just under :) My camera cuts off recording at 24 minutes so it gives me a good idea of how long it all takes, second one took me about 10 minutes because i had all the stuff on my desk ready to go
oh fab! Pleased, I have another video ive done a bit similar, might be workable for you as well. Uses strips of card as well. This one here: ruclips.net/video/-N4g5PsCyOM/видео.html
Those cards are beautiful! I’m so glad you used ombré paper. I have a lot of it but I have no idea how to use it with stamps. Btw, I totally get it about touching the wet dots. I would’ve done that too 😆. - W
Oh im so pleased Wendy! I have tons of it as well. I found the best way to make the most of it was to get the most out of the middle where the colours merge
I feel like it would take me more than 1/2 an hour just to pick out the stamps to do the backgrounds. 😅 the cards are lovely. I will definitely keep this style in the back of my mind to try
I think it helps that i have a big bunch of blocks and i can just slap dash them onto the blocks. I hope you give it a go, it really didnt take too long :)
Loved the ombre paper pad. Really pretty! The way you cut your sentiment is called a fishtail banner. I always seem to get ink everywhere and I always wonder how card makers on You Tube can handle it so quickly after stamping without smearing it and getting it all over their hands. A mystery to me.
Thank you! i always forget my words :) And the secret to the not smudging in( i smudge nuvo drops so easily) is to know your cardstock and ink. I know some cardstocks take much longer for ink to dry than others... So i know when im pushing my luck and when i'll be ok. With the nuvo mishap, i just waited for it to dry, picked it off, then used a sand eraser to remove the smudge, then added 2 new dots to cover the slightly scuffed card. wahoooo good as new
@@SashaReade Hi Oh that's interesting. I never considered that it might have to do with the actual cardstock! I have Michaels Recollection cardstock and Bristol Smooth which I probably only reach for when I am ink blending. Which one do you reach for when you are in a hurry? The Nuvo drops I use occasionally but I have not mastered the twirl to create the circle! Makes me nervous! Ha! Thank you for your help and taking the time to answer.
I really love this idea! How do you always manage to get your nuvo drops onto the card so perfect looking? Mine are either pointy or they dry and go flat as a pancake 🥞 😂
Really?!?! I wonder if it has to do with climate. I never have to do anything but squirt them and the stay a beautiful dome. But i can only get the effect with genuine Nuvo drops. Not stickles or anything like that. But ive heard other people have struggled and the top tip i hear is to swirl them round as you finish them off so they dont leave a tip. But i honestly always just blob them on and they always leave a lovely dome look
If your Nuvo Drops are pointy, gently tap your card flat on your desk/table. It will round the top off a bit. Don't tap too hard, or you will have the pancake effect😁
So pretty. With the sentiment str, I call it fish tailing the ends
Great idea to use those stamps on embellishments. Really enjoy your 30 minute crafts.
Thank you so much Mary, it means a lot to get lovely encouragement
