    Congratulations on your new SNC. I bought mine last year for myself for Christmas and I love it. I love my silhouette too and I still use it to design stuff on it. Nancy, Watch papered chef on her SNC videos. She’s a great teacher and goes through details, tips and tricks. You did a great job on your first cut!

      I agree that she does have tremendous knowledge & knows the machine inside & out, but just a warning, she can be hard to listen to. She's adorable in her enthusiasm, but she's easily sidetracked, & it may take 30 minutes to explain something when it could have taken 10. Not trying to knock her down at all, just preparing y'all lol

      Hey Carol! Just curious what all you use your SNC for. I’m on the fence. It’d mostly be a die cutter for stamps & my art/card making. Don’t know if it justifies what l’d save on matching dies, l have an Empress die cutter, so l’m not sure if the space & cost of the SNC is valid for me. I’ve wanted one for soooo long! 🤪

    • @Elizaboots
      @Elizaboots Год назад

      @@debschurby1574 I use mine for cutting faux leather for bag making, fabrics for quilting and other sewing projects. I’ve used it for card making too, I have usbs from Tattered Lace that have intricate svgs that the Scan n Cut does brilliantly, having them on usbs saves so much space. I have a Crafters Companion Gemini die cutter along with a trillion metal dies and good lord they take so much room up! I was hesitant about buying the Scan n Cut but now I can’t imagine being without it. They are an investment, but once you get into it and see just what you can do, it’s well worth it, in my opinion.

      @@Elizaboots Oh that sounds fun working with leather & fabric! When l was a kid my grandad had a music/saddle shop & l loved hammering designs into the leather. I draw a lot of my own cards & it’d be fun to be able to have them machine cut. Does the SNC go inside a design to cut out areas or does it only do outer edge cutting? Thanks so much for your response.

      @@debschurby1574 if the svg tells it to cut a fancy design, like maybe a fancy lace design, then that’s what it will cut. It would be impossible for me to cut by hand because of the intricate design, but the scan n cut has no problem.

    I bought myself a new SNC for Christmas after my CM350 started having that same problem with the blade slipping down in depth while it cut (BTW, the fix for that is plumbers tape). But the SDX125e just offered too many awesome features so I finally bit the bullet. I l*o*v*e it so much! I make stuff to sell so I'm keeping the 350 for simple stuff, the 125e is my main workhorse. How fun. I did get one when they first came out, but I got buyers remorse and sent it back. I felt like I didnt want to learn another machine. I had so much invested into my Cricuts. But I hate fussy cutting so this might be soon, but I have no room for anything else. My want list is getting out of hand, and my room is stacked to the ceiling. Unlike my homes on the East coast, Houston homes have no basements, we are too close to Sea level. What's a girl to do! Thanks for another fun video.

I really like the new software update it has and use it for the shadow layers behind my sentiments. But this new m/c looks like it might do all that too. Wow, I will have to think hard about it. I use my sync like you for fussy cutting printed or stamped images. Thanks so much for this unboxing!!!❤️

    Wahoooo congrats on the new SNC! I have that one minus the E. Not sure what the difference is if any. Yes, it is tons quieter than the CMs. I bought mine a few years ago on HSN then just had no room to use it. Now that we're moved, as soon as we get my other shelves (origami also from HSN) out of the big pod I'll be able to set it up & use it. The autoblade is what sold me.
    I had ordered a cricut, but they sent Blue instead of the purple I ordered. I do still think I want a cricut just because the knock off blades are soooo much cheaper than for the SNC & I want to do a lot of stencils. Just like the SNC quickly paid for itself in dies I didn't buy, I think the cricut will pay for itself fairly quickly in blade cost savings. Still hoping brother knock off blades will become much cheaper. We'll see.

    I’ve been on the SNC fence over a year not ready to commit. l see the cuts are close to the image where other SNC demos they say even with the smallest margin setting around the image it still leaves about the same amount of white border as the die cut. l’ve never liked the white border the die cuts leave & l always color the white edges to match the background, which turns out great. My crafting is “The Home of Cussy Cutting.” 🤣😂 l keep telling myself the SNC will pay for itself not needing to buy matching dies. I’ve seen several posts where people who have the SNC admit they still buy the dies. I wouldn’t use one for fabric or anything else, so basically just for card making. I love my Empress so there’s another head scratcher on the justification for buying a SNC if it’s just going to be a larger sized die cutter! I’d be curious to see how it cuts around sentiments. Is there a size requirement on small images? I really appreciate the time you took to share unveiling your new toy! 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻👍🏼💖
