I had the UP3 surgery at 55 y/o prior to even getting a sleep study because friends and family said I " snore badly", " could wake the dead " and " rattle the windows". It solved the problem with 10 days recovery time and never going to bed sounding like Darth Vader!!!
You are a very lucky man. My Old man had this condition for serveral years, didn't take any action due to lack of understanding. UP3 lead to stroke and he is a mess for the last 6 years. Good on you mate, stay well!
instead of moving the structures, just cut tubular grooves into the back of the airway, that way if the airway collapses, the grooves still let air flow through
i appreciate you being honest. ive had cpap for 8 years now been havin dry mouth and lots of congestion. also pins and needles through out the body for 16 months now. no doctor can find out why. i would like to think its sleep apnea its the one thing i i have not checked. but im so mad at sleep apnea thinking its the cause i just want the surgery lol.
Thank you Dr. for this interesting info. I have 32 AHI and hate the CPAP, I'm scheduled for Tonsillectomy and Barbed reposition pharyngopasty (BRP) surgery, have you heard of BRP? What's your take on it? Thank you!
Im willing to do the surgery because of the struggle sleeping with the mask on ill deal with the pain for a few weeks than to deal with the mask for years or rest of my life i just wish my insurance would cover for the surgery
Don’t get this done, I had it done in 2004 and I am still having trouble choking and breathing.. it’s not worth it and I still snore loud.. don’t do this you will regret it !!
You couldnt get me to put a implanted chip in my body and these CPAP machines are terrible. Wish doctors and surgeons would quit being so lazy and actually get better at traditional surgery instead of putting this crap in your body that can cause all kinds of long term issues. Btw CPAP machines have even been found to put patients at an increased risk of cancer!
Imagine how much more success patients would have if the majority of Pulmonologist's and ENT'S told their patients that traditional surgery was an option. I guarantee you that the majority of patients would prefer traditional surgery over the 2 convenient options they typical try to go with now

@@jigarjoshi1251 could you please elaborate how U3P leads to stock?
What's UP3 Stand for. Is it like UPPP.
I have severe sleep apnea and my ENT is doing a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. I'm 55 also.. do you have any pointers, was it worth it, did it work?

Which surgeries are you referring to? UPPP? How do these surgeries on the soft tissues contrast with orthognathic surgery?
What happened to that Inspire surgery video you promised 2 years ago on this video?
