Hello & thanks for watching! I went to the FAA's search website and found five different AMEs located in New York City. Use designee.faa.gov/designeeLocator and first select AME from the Designee Types dropdown box. Next, click Location Search and enter New York for the city and New York for the state. Leave all the other Designation Type check boxes blank. Once I clicked Search, I got a list of 5 AMEs that are all in New York City. I hope this works - let me know what you find!

Hello, I am not a medical professional in any way, so I can't help answer this specifically. I can point you to the FAA's guide for examiners so you can review it yourself: www.faa.gov/ame_guide and I also recommend if you can to pre-visit an AME through a regular office visit to discuss your current status BEFORE you actually apply through MedXPress.
