What if I clicked "no" on one of the questionnaires but when i renewed it i realized I was mistaken then clicked "yes" the next time in medxpress. Will the FAA scrutinize it and delay my medical?
Great question, so I did a little digging and found this helpful article from AOPA: www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2018/july/pilot/for-the-record-honest-mistake According to this article, your MedXPress form becomes part of your permanent record once the AME imports it into their medical certification system. If you wait 60 days and no AME imports it, then it is deleted, and you could fill out the form again. You could also ask the AME to change it, but they have to follow specific protocol to change it. Please read the above linked article, and make a determination for yourself on what you need to do to correct the mistake.
Blood pressure requirements are in the FAA's Guide for AMEs: www.faa.gov/ame_guide/app_process/exam_tech/item55/ According to this article from the FAA, they are allowed to take additional BP readings after you get more relaxed, even the next day! www.faa.gov/sites/faa.gov/files/licenses_certificates/medical_certification/hop/hypertension.pdf to read their article Thank you for watching!
@@LauraLaster747thank you so much I did not know that I check it at home when relaxed and record it. And it’s usually normal . Thanks for the information 🙏
I've found many times my 1st reading is high. But the 2nd reading is lower. If you're friends with the examiner, don't laugh and joke before the readings, thst raises mine
Hi! I have a little question! I have minor Eczema. It only pops up every purple moon. I have prescribed eczema cream do I have to tell the doctor? If I do will I not pass the exam? Thank you, the video was very helpful!
I am glad you found it helpful! So my suggestion with this is to make an appointment with an FAA AME but not as a medical, just as an office visit. Then ask them at the appointment their opinion on how to report that on your actual FAA MedXPress form at the actual FAA medical. I am not a doctor, so I am not going to say "Oh it's fine!" but you can review their OTC list here: www.faa.gov/pilots/medical_certification/media/OTCMedicationsforPilots.pdf and notice that creams like this are typically fine.

Is the Urine sample used for a drug test ? And what are they testing for. I was hoping to do my Medical exam but I had an edible a while back so not sure if this will pop up on my sample, I’d rather wait a bit longer to be safe than sorry.
Great question: I found the answer in this AOPA article (scroll down or word search). www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/students/presolo/special/pilots-guide-to-medical-certification This says that the urine is NOT used for a drug test.

I am not sure if that is fully what you were asking...but it's my attempt to help clear it up!
