I am sorry you're struggling with this. With the deferral, remember the advice given by my most recent interview video (about a substance abuse deferral). You can "shop around" for various HIMS providers and find one that is more affordable and/or has a better schedule for you to meet with them. I hope you can get through this process as quickly as possible. Stay positive!
I got deferred on my first class medical because of a aneurysm in my brain. I had a surgery when I was 14 years old. Now I am 24 and this happened I don’t know what to do. In addition to that it has been 6 months plus and I still haven’t received any letter form the faa about it. I’m just waiting and mowing nothing. I gathered all imaging from an mri and an angiogram I did. All came out good. But I don’t know if I should send it or where to send it. I’m lost here if anyone can better help me with my situation?
I am so sorry you're going through this. How frustrating! I would suggest continuing to call or communicate with the FAA. The other suggestion I have is speaking with AOPA's pilot medical help team or speaking with a service like Wingman Med wingmanmed.com/ (I have not used their services, but I do hear good things about AOPA's team from students who have used them in the past.) The FAA is supposed to tell you where to send your documentation, but if they have not, reach out to them and continue to do so until they answer your questions. I have been told to reach out to your Regional Flight Surgeon for more direct help with inquiries: www.faa.gov/pilots/medical_certification/rfs for the contact information.
Hello & thanks for watching! I will refer you to FAA AME guidance on item 19: www.faa.gov/ame_guide/app_process/app_history/item19 - read that and then complete your form accordingly. (Note I can't give advice in this area. I'm just pointing you to FAA guidance.)
I cant pass a medical & haven't flown in like 20 years. I dreamed that i went to get a medical in feb 2024 Failed that medical 3rd class in the dream. Then left the office & lept for joy in perfect health outside perfect Health I woke up. Interpretation is The Lord paid & 3rd day rose from the dead for our healing/Medical. Flying represents the parable of this life will you choose HIM as an eternal provider & Study Him/His Word. In Christ we are in perfect Health regardless of the sickness of this current cursed life of sin. Will you choose HIMS & make a good landing in Heaven at the end with perfect health or will you let your airplane Crash into Hell forgetting God. This is the interpretation of my faa medical failure dream why i leapt as nothing amiss outside the AME office.
I'm so sorry to hear this. :-( I wish I could help you and encourage you to keep trying, but I understand things do cost a lot of money. Have you tried connecting with the local chapters of the 99s or Women in Aviation for encouragement and maybe even financial help through scholarships?
Struggling with this currently. Got a deferral. Best of luck to everyone having to deal with this as well!

So I don’t need to report council/therapst visits for a first class medical?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts - I often also see parables between flight and Christianity. Thanks for watching!!!
I gave up being a professional pilot because of this. I have no money to continue. Aviation is only for rich people.
