Hi Laura, your videos help me a lot to learn about aviation. I have few questions i hope you can address them. What would be the max age limit to become Dispatcher, many schools offer 10 to 15 days of dispatch course and i am damm sure that you need a lot more time to learn, whats realistic time or duration for new comer to industry.

Hello! Thank you for the kind words! There is really no maximum age to become a dispatcher. One of my students was in his early 60s actually. There are intensive courses that are all day every day for 5 weeks, but you can also find more spread out classes that meet certain nights of the week. I would say for learning new material think about what is best for you. There are also options where you take some online and then go for the last 2 weeks in person. I would not recommend that format unless you already are experienced in aviation.

Is this more of maintenance control issues?

Hey and thanks for watching! So yes, typically maintenance control combined with the dispatcher and pilot will initiate adding an MEL or CDL to the aircraft when needed. Is that what you were asking?
