Cathy Dennis is a national treasure. Thank you for sharing this. So wonderful to see her sing live. A prolific songwriter, she writes a great number of successful pop songs for others than for herself. A post 1990s version of Carole King.

I agree and I am trying but Cathy absolutely needs to give it the thumbs up. Lots of material she's been working on with other artists is being released and due to be released. One song is Black Honey's "Rock Bottom" which Cathy co-wrote - it's about depression. Keep your ears to the floor for more in due course. Also, if you're not aware, Cathy features on a lot of Galantis tracks.

She could have a better rendition of her own composition "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" . Kylie's better off with her "Hand On Your Heart" and "I Should Be So Lucky"

The song was originally called "Phony Lullaby" and was meant for Britney Spears but Cathy re-wrote the verses and this is what was officially released :)

As a classical musician, I can somehow tell that she writes music. Like, she has an awareness of all the parts together as she performs.
Her melodies are outstanding. She did somethnig like 60+ different version of Toxic before we got the final version - wow!!!
