That’s what happens when you perform songs you have never actually sung live… and have your voice so autotuned that it sounds nothing like you. I really don't understand how people can just like anything she does regardless of the quality. I've been following this whole time cuz BP. Some of her solo work I have liked. But Lisa is known for her dancing. It looked like she was trying to make it to specific spots on time (platforms). And I dunno her height, but at VMAs... This seemed like the dancing suffered so she could make it to the queue.

The choreography through most of the song until the end seemed simple. I only mention the platform because I actually like her work at times and can see reasons that might have affected her energy (let alone anything we don't know about). Just me trying to logic why this high energy Kpop star known for dancing is not dancing to the level I'm used to seeing. Also, after looking at the comments and looking it up, it looks like this video lowers how much we hear her actually singing. I'm a person who wants either really great live vocals or an amazing dance if you can't do both. So, when I don't see either, I'm not a big fan. I agree with other comments that the editing did her dirty. In general, including with BP, I always feel like the backtrack is so loud I can't hear them sing even when they are clearly singing. I only mention the platform because I actually like her work at times and can see reasons that might have affected her energy (let alone anything we don't know about). Just me trying to logic why this high energy Kpop star known for dancing is not dancing to the level I'm used to seeing. Also, after looking at the comments and looking it up, it looks like this video lowers how much we hear her actually singing. I'm a person who wants either really great live vocals or an amazing dance if you can't do both. So, when I don't see either, I'm not a big fan. I agree with other comments that the editing did her dirty. In general, including with BP, I always feel like the backtrack is so loud I can't hear them sing even when they are clearly singing. I just don't see the point in a live performance either half-assed or that the editing by the official source messes with the recorded experience. Cuz this is what will be left on the internet. Whatever is recorded. And especially, the official video will get more airtime long-term.

Kpop, or just any pop was filled with amazing people with unbelievable talents, in the past. They had the ability to serve perfection. But the talent has died now due to fans' irresponsibility and ignorance and lack of criticism. Stop pampering idols.
