    SOLD!
Vintage Traynor TS-140 solid-state head demo. Super loud, gnarly sounding head - great for stoner rock, sludge metal, noise rock, etc...also has a great clean sound with an excellent spring reverb. Takes pedals quite nicely as well (see end of video for an example with a fuzz pedal). Great with guitar, baritone, or bass. With bass it definitely can get that Bob Weston / David Wm. Sims thing going on. Super cool head, and bloody rare as hens teeth.
    Demo gear:
Charvel MIJ So-Cal with Dimarzio pickups
Hovercraft 2x12 cab with Celestion V-Type speakers
BLAMMO! Electronics Fuzz Detonator pedal for the last example
    Cascade Fat Head ribbon mic

Traynor=godly. Your channel is actually why I started researching them. Last month copped a pristine 70s reverb master combo and it’s the best amp I’ve ever owned

I’ve owned this amp for 20 years and it still hauls ass.

Just a matter of finding the right settings. I find that using Traynor speaker cabinets with head works best for me. I use a Traynor TS200 with 2 9speaker cabinets

Just wished the head got louder. Not happy with the lack of power it puts out. Which is odd for 140@4

Hows the volume compared to a beta lead

I haven't used it at 4 ohms, but I thought it was pretty damned loud at 8 ohms. Depends a lot on speaker efficiency and a variety of other factors, though.

Nick Turner betas are way louder in my opinion. Although the traynors give you a different more piano clean tone. I have both still.

Do these heads take pedals super well? Been starting to look at some solid state options lately, I love my yba-1 but have never gotten to use a ts series amp

This thing sounds damn ugly... and I mean that in the best possible way. I can see it pumping out Unsane riffs for days.

It is indeed an ugly sounding grind. Totally Unsane worthy
