    Another reason to follow other artists is that their enthusiasm rubs off on you. You, and Bill Doran, and Adam Savage are prime examples of people who just enthusiastically love what they do and that is a big part of what makes you & Benni's videos so much fun to watch (for me at least).

    6:18 I get this one, so much... so friggin much... Currently trying to make a suit of armor out of metal. I am making my second proto-type for the gauntlet at the moment, and if it works it will be what I use. Because god DANGIT, each finger plate takes me just under 20 minutes (used to take longer, I've made proper templates now) to: trace, cut out, use an angle grinder to do most of the shaving down, compare with others to make small adjustments, shave down the edges so as to not cut myself, bend/curve into position, and eventually put into position by riveting it into the glove... Each gauntlet requires 28 finger plates, let alone the other parts. My first prototype took me 28 hours of work time. Yes, this is my first cosplay. D:
    As annoying as it is, the moment I put my first prototype on, I just breathed a sigh of relief, was extremely happy, and then found out a million and one problems with it, hence prototype 2. Sweet jesus ;-;

    reminding myself why I do the costume is a great tip; I do the same with sports on super unmotivated days.
    also I bought your LED books because I love lights and I also feel like I'll put them everywhere once I know how it works. the reason for my sudden enthusiasm to learn working with LEDs is (only) the jacket of Connor from Detroit: Become Human. I won't even make the entire cosplay, just the jacket. I want to add blinking lights so I can have Rave-Connor.

    Another great video Svetlana. Blizz Con is great and the Anaheim Convention center is a great location for a Con. The hotels are really really close to the hall, there's lot's of shade, and if you are in the mood for it, it's a short walk to DISNEYLAND :D. If you want another convention that would allow you to be more casual, I strongly suggest..... wait for it.....WONDERCON!!!!! This convention is put on by the same group of folks that created Comic-Con, but this is a much more casual convention with much less of a Hollywood presence. This convention is where the Comic-Con people go to just hang out with other people and actually spend the time attending panels, shows and demonstrations that really interest them. (It's the convention that Comic-Con staff go to in order to actually just spend the time enjoying a convention). In summary, it is a great convention with more Cosplay than you shake a stick at (American Euphemism), Great people, Great panels, Awesome Exhibits, Creative Artist's Alley, Cool Vendors, Lot's of food..... did I mention the food??... oh yeah, lot's and lot's of food. Hope to see you there one day!

    The tip 4, I'm really the same like you, I have to do several projects at the same time, because first I always see something new and want it, and also I start to lose patient just doing the same thing, it feels really good to know my favorite cosplayer is the same. But I also know people who gain motivation from a complete finished project. It's just important to know either way is normal and just do what makes you happy :D

      What I did for my phoenix masquerade costume was make a list of components I had to have (wings, mask, crest) and things I wanted (feathered cuffs), and when I got each part done I checked it off the list. I did one piece at a time - right cuff, then the left, one wing and then the other. I didn't skip around and do bits of different parts. That way I felt I'd accomplished something, instead of having a lot of uncompleted pieces laying around.

      We sadly didn’t filmed anything and I don’t want to build a second one just for a video. However you can find more information and some progress photos in my Advanced Painting Book! :)

    Thank you. Like millions of others, right now. I have a ton of free time. Also a lot of projects to work on.
    Moving from project to project. Is a good idea. When one gets stuck on a problem. For too long.
    My current projects;
    • Finish assembling my DIY CNC router. (Sooo many cosplay, & prototyping pieces to cut out!)
    • Figure out how to calibrate my 3D printer. (More cosplay, & prototyping work)
    • Finish the electronics for my convention's dragon display.
    • Turn old PC speaker's Bass speaker. Into a 12VDC automotive Bass speaker.
    • Get on my favorite MMO. Defeat my enemies. And stand on a pile of their skulls!
    But 1st, take the dogs out to go potty.

    This was actually helpful because I have been in a rut with some of my builds. Honestly I have a model that I started and maybe I should take a break and finish it.

    I remember I was watching one of those "interviewing cosplayers at a con" videos and this one girl was cosplaying as Pharah from Overwatch in PJs. The interviewer (very politely) asked her why, and she said she'd been trying to make a "legit" Pharah cosplay with crazy makeup and foam armor but about a month before the con she ended up breaking an important piece. She said she was bummed for a while but ended up deciding to do a low effort cosplay and had a great time anyway
