For those you who can't afford worbla, you can basically get the same effect with 2 pieces of 2mm craft foam contact cemented together and heat formed. The inner ear can also be acheived with felt. And if you can't find hair chalk, chalk pastels work really well too. Just tips for you all.

Eijiro Kirishima you don’t need a complex stitch for this. A running stitch should work fine! Learning the basics isn’t that hard it’s just doing them well that’s the hard part but no one will see these stitches XD

Boot cover tutorials are honestly a pain. I'm gonna cosplay Himiko Yumeno (danganronpa v3) but I think I'm just gonna wear boots in that colour rather than those elf pointed boots. I'll be making the blazer still so I think it's okay if it's not 100% perfect lmao
Made a pair of cat ears for my halloween costume using this technique. I didn't have any worbla, but I do have access to a 3d printer. So I printed the base shape flat in PLA and thermoformed this instead. Since I didn't have any long haired fur either, I just used short fur. Then, before coloring and closing, I added long hairs by sewing large loops of acrylic yarn in the desired spots, added glue on the inside to prevent pulling out and brushed/straightened out the yarn. Worked like a charm and the ears came out pretty nice!

Before I saw this video, I only know I have to sewing fur materials with different fur length and color together with pink (or other colors if you need to adjust the color of the fur a little bit) cloth under the fur materials in order to achieve all this kind of result, instead of using scissors to trim the fur and use coloring to paint it... Also, I just know a sewing machine can sew through 2 layers of fur... Thank you for all the tips.

Really the biggest difference between these and other ears is the trimming and the coloring. I feel many makers stop trimming (or don’t trim at all) pretty early on, which does make it look pretty blobby, or too simple. The coloring adds so much dimension to the ears as well.
I tried this tutorial and your other tutorial "no sew ears" and made a combination for my ears. Most from the no sew version, because worbla is too expensive for me and it's way easier with the wire, but I use a toothbrush to ad the color like in this video :)
They work well with my demon krystal cosplay (basically krystal off of star fox, but demon style and I only wear it when I play guitar hero, so kind of like a rock star krystal I made up)
I went through that phase in middle school. Since I had a lot of experience as a cosplayer I think they looked pretty realistic. I thought I would get bullied but everyone just wanted to touch them 😂

Tandy leather also has a similar product that is a bit cheaper than worbla. Terraflex is the name.

Ok i started watching this for the ears right.(this my first time watching ur vids and i adore them already) then i see a WoW poster in the background and subscribed as quick as i could.(because i have never seen a cosplayer that plays WoW and i love playing it so i sub to everybody i come across who plays it. This is truely a blessing finding a cosplayer that plays WoW)
