I wish more People watched your cosplay tutorials. They are so good.
Yes!
The thing is a lot of them are female cosplays and there are a lot of male anime lovers
Yes
You're right
Me not having any of the materials but still watching: 👁👄👁
I'd like this comment but it's at 69 thumbs up
@Renna Giles same

Me too

I don’t cosplay I just want a sword. But I mean I was thinking of doing a kny cosplay soooo
This is awesome, thank you. Can't wait for the new season of Demon Slayer and to see more Demon Slayer cosplays!
Manga readers: ✋😭
@@user-lj6ls3vx4o the show or what do u mean
Hard to believe that’s foam though it looks so real 🤩
Mitsuri's sword is soft and bendy according to the manga and also it's longer than her body. That looks so realistic tho-
Maybe skip a few steps and make the foam longer for manga accuracy? 🤓
@@ronnietheboywonder it’s like a whip in the manga, but still a sword? I don’t know how to explain it. It’s serval meters long and she’s the only one able to use it
@@ronnietheboywonder in the manga it looks like a ballet ribbon but sharper so i dont think foam is gonna do the work :v
A few of the demon slayers have weird swords, like shinobu, gyomei, mitsuri and snake man
@@mythicalbeast3791 gyomei uses a dang wrecking ball
i love how their outfit always relates to the cosplay
Me: A cosplayer wanting to make this
Also me: To broke to make it
Saaame 😭😭

Too broke*
@@Zombear do you think your doing the world good by correcting a person’s spelling online😐😐
@@SaintTony22 not the world, just the individual. But I hope it helps. Have a great day. 😁
Really amazing result!! I need to find a primer like that cause it really makes the work look so clean and professional, and an air brush would be amazing too but ohh expensive 😂
theres some really cheap ones on amazon that do the trick! if you do a youtube search, people that made tiny models for warhammer made a video on it and they dont seem that bad!!
@@casscosplay ohhh really? I must have missed it, I'll check it out thank you!💞
Mod podge works wonderfully with eva foam
U can get cheap air brushes from Amazon and ebay
woaah I was watching your pvc katana tutorial a few minutes ago
Building Katanas really is a wild ride. Its incredible how vastly different the methods are for each material.
So far I've built one out of steel, one out of hardwood and one out of foam. The methods are really interesting
I am absolutely in awe of this craftsmanship, thank you for sharing this with us!
wow this is one of the cleanest DIY prop i've seen!! amazing work
THIS IS SO COOL! I really wanted to make giyu's sword but was clueless how to so this is so much help thankyou!!
Thank you so much! I wanted to make Giyuu’s katana but had no idea where to start.
Same but I wanted to make kanao’s katana lol 🌸
I want to make a kokushibo sword
I wanted to make a Sekiro's mortal blade for some times now, this is gonna be helpful :]
you make everything look so easy, i'm so jealous
2 years after and this is still such a great help. Because of this video, I was able to craft my Maki Zenin's Reed Katana and am currently crafting the Sode no Shiroyuki Zanpakuto for my Rukia cosplay! Thank you thank you, you legend! 😭💖
OMG i’m making side no shirayuki too!! i was scrolling past these and was like “wait did that say zanpakuto?” haha hello fellow bleach fan
@@cathyang-ke3cx hello fellow bleach fan!! and fellow rukia cosplayer?? 🥺 hahaha my sode no shirayuki is coming along good bc of this tutorial really!!
@@micchiki2430 omg that’s awesome! did u add a bell? i was looking up a few references and they all have bells on them, i kinda want to but i’m scared they’re gonna be noisy 💀
@@cathyang-ke3cx that was a concern of mine too but after seeing some more manga panels, i ommitted the bell thingy entirely asdkajs
@@micchiki2430 ohhh ok!! my dad suggested stuffing the bell with cotton things LMAO
Immediately clicked! I'm so happy you are posting more videos!
I just so happened to have a build commission for a unrelated cosplay sword build that I was considering using some EVA foam for contact surfaces. This has so many great tips for makers just by showing products and how you're doing it. Thank you so much!
Kinpatsu really be saving lives out there with these tutorials. I was unsure of what method to use for making Tsuyuri Kanao's katana with what I have but this is perfect for me 🤩
That totally light up the way for my Deadpool katanas, extremely easy! Tysm
I've been stumped on how to make my 2B sword (virtuous contract) stiff but still thin, so this should be super helpful!
Omg I just found this video and I am trying to make this weapon as well!
the only think I'd suggest about the supporting aluminium rod as a core, is check if conventions in the area you go to are ok with that. some countries do not allow props that have a metal core in them, for safety reasons.
Great tutorial video, will probably use it as reference for props in the future.
that is the most beautyful eva sword i've ever seen, good job
Thank you! I almost gave up on cosplaying her because I couldn't figure out the sword
Thank you so much for this! I'm making a spirit from Dbd cosplay and she uses a ketana! I will definitely come back to this video
Hi!!! Thank you for all of your videos 💕
I just started watching Demon slayer and so far I’m loving it! Thank you again for the tutorial! Still deciding who I want to cosplay
OMG this ist the first Video i saw for a Katana to make thats looks easy and very understanding even so it´s in english ;.; now i can make my Katana thwn with its method thanks~
AMAZING! I'm cosplaying for the first time as Shinobu from Demon Slayer and my boyfriend will be Giyu, so I plan to use this technique for our katanas! SO helpful! Thank you so much!
Excellent watch! Found it because I want to make Yami's katana from Black Clover. I find the masking difficult to do properly at times though, wish you showed a bit more of that like the wavy lines
It doesn’t even look like it’s made out of foam! Wow!
my kaedehara kazuha cosplayed arrived earlier this afternoon, so i'm gonna make a sword to go with it with this method. thank you so much!!!
You can use a cheap yoga mattress as well, for extra durability. It's what we use to make foam practice swords in HEMA classes.
early and i luv the vids and creations
This is so useful!!! Now i know what ill need when i make my own katana for this Oni cosplay im going to make
gonna use this for my stocking cosplay!
This could be a very nice practice katana, thanks for the tutorial!
Wow that sword is so beautiful
How did she make the sheath/scabbard for the blade?
Edit: She should totally do a hatsune miku cosplay tutorial! (Especially how to do her put the hair accessories on the wig so they look like their holding up the twintails without touching them. Also, her headphones as well as Rin and Len's and Luka's)
I’ll definitely try this if I’m ever trying to make one of the Hashiras katanas. Thank you 😄
THANK YOU!!! I don't do cosplay but I do make props for shows and your video saved me!
This couldn't have come at a better time for me!!
My next D&D character uses Daishō, so I'll be making a katana!! Thank you so much for this :3
Woah, I've been tempted to build a random weapon like a katana or another sword lately, now this is tempting me even more T^T
This was so awesome as a tutorial I am now lost because I am still a hobbyist
WAIT OMG IM GOING TO MAKE THIS BUT FOR MY OWN DEMON SLAYER CHARACTER IM SO EXCITED
Wait as in you are making your own character and not one that’s in the show!?! That’s cool!
This is way too good, wow, thank you for sharing your tips, it looks amazing!
yeah this is actually kinda healpful for my tanjiro final selection cosplay thanks!!
She makes it looks so easy
This sword is perfection
This is literally so perfect! I'm starting a Kamui Gakupo Cosplay soon and I was worried about how I was gonna make his katana AHHHHHH💕💕
I needed this for my halloween costume
I've always heard videos of people adding inserts to foam but have never seen it!! This is SO HELPFUL because I'm going to be making TFA Blackarachnia's spider legs and had no idea how to make them sturdy :0
This helped significantly for a Sephiroth sword I made. Thank you!
Amazing :0
This will definitely help me make shinobu's katana :3
I just randomly found you and i love it I get TO COSPLAY
THANK YOU SO MUTCH IT WAS SO HELPEFULL
Thank you so much i will sure use this on one of my cosplays, awesome work!!
No problem!
This is a great tutorial, thank you! I'm completely new to this but want to try making a couple daggers/swords as a test for myself but was wondering how to do it (Think thicknesses of foam, the inner piece to keep it rigid, that stuff) and this video explained it! I think I can make my own props, they might be a bit janky, but it's a start!
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I need to make Tomioka Giyu's nichirin sword for a cosplay on Saturday and this was super helpful
a tip also if you have some clouth around the Rod it wont risk percing the foam as easy :)
easy to follow tutorials are so rare, i love yours so much !!!
I'm using this for my vorpal blade! especially the first part. thank u!
Thank you for making this tutorial. Finally someone makes a sword with actual foam.
Glad it was helpful!
Hello! I'm 15years old korean girl who loves your videos♡ I am a amateur cosplayer. As I loooove to making outfits, Whenever I have a hard time making costumes, your tip helps me. Well, I just wannna say I'm always thx for your making tips! XD
(Translator is not used. Please understand if there is anything strange)
Glad we could help! ^^
NICE!
I will do the tomioka katana for myself! Thanks for tutorial.
Hi,
It looks great!!
Please continue this profession of yours
Im planning on crafting a katana for my 2B cosplay for the Dokomi this year
How to say aluminum ~ You win that battle mme ~ oooof ! GREAT TUTORIAL !!!! Its been about 15 years since last cosplaying; but to see how far the community has come is amazing.... Back in the day there were no tutorials; and most people didint have easy access to all these materials. ♡
Ah evolution in motion.
Nice to meet you and your channel btw.👋
After this video i decided to be mitsuris katana as cosplay. thank you
Well done i only watched 2 minutes of the video and it looks amazing even tho its foam in the future this could help me!
wow that's cool, looking forward to making my first katana
finally- a mitsuri sword tutorial
This is the only reason I'm ordering foam
You did a great job on making a cosplay katana sword out of EVA foam.
Awesome video, will you be showing the diy of the case/holder?
Wow, that looked so amazing, you are really very tallented. Thanks for teaching us.
This one helped me out alot
The result is amazing ! Do you have a video to create the katana sheath (saya) ? I am working on the cosplay of Ashitaka from Mononoke, but my sheath is horrible 🤣😓
We don't have a video for a sheath yet but we could try to make one in future! :3 we do have the instructions for the sheath as part of the mitsuri cosplay tutorial book! It shows step by step pictures for the sheath with explanation there!
Hey can u do Tonjiros katana? I would like to do a Tonjiros cosplay so that would really help 😁
I love these tutorials! So helpful! Thank you sm!!
It's wonderful! Could you make other swords or cosplay of Demon Slayer, pleaaase
I'm bot doing this exact katana, but is useful... Now i know how to make my own "Unbreakable faith"
This is just amazing!! Currently have my Mitsuri cosplay rn but unfortunately I'm not that good enough right now to make something like that just yet😭
awesomeeeeeee!!! its time to try make Sephiroth masamune YEAH!!
Tip for anyone who does this: air spray the prop in a well ventilated area, or outside as some fumes may be toxic. I think this is common sense, but some people don’t know to do this! It’s just a friendly reminder. Stay safe and make some jaw dropping cosplays!
this is so sick good job
For a katana the disc between blade and hilt is called a tsuba
Wow! Wow! Wow! Fantastic!!!
Thanks so much for this! Going to make Aki's katana from Chainsaw Man so this was super helpful!
Also considering making his nail sword! :D
It looks so cool and professional
You do a very difficult but mind blowing job. Keep it up
Thank you ☺️
awesome
Yes! I really needed to learn how to make this!!!
I love your cool accent Kinpatsu! ☺ Will use this tutorial for making Momohime's katana from Muramasa: The Demon Blade.
Can you do a tutorial for the sleeve of the sword?
I made my tanjiro katana with 2 sheets of 3mm (i think) wood. They sell it at craft stores, i think it was 0.70€ per 1! I did basically everything the same, but withoutadding a rod, since the wood is pretty sturdy on its own.
The paint job in this is so good thooo and I didnt know that if I heat up the foam it would get smooth again after sanding!! Thanks for that! 🌟🌟
Y’all are literally amazing and a life saver 😩 keep up the good work :)
This is awesome bc I was planning to make zoro’s katanas as well so this is really helpful!!!
I love crofting foam
I keep making all the foam stuff with out the rods but this is one where I'll have to cave
