- In 2009, Margaret Atwood took her first seat in the red chair to talk about "Payback: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth," her book written for the 2008 Massey Lectures. In honour of Margaret's *75th birthday*, we're revisiting that classic interview.

Strombo and Miss Atwood. Legendary.
This is big! Kudos G ... Love Atwood❤️ #trulycanadian
George is a little too flip at times with Margaret, like at the 4:00 minute mark when he evidently wasn't listening to her. She is one of the greatest Canadian writers for whom I have enormous regard. I have seen her speak several times, from late 1973 at a Canadian University Press Conference at Ryerson in Toronto to book signings later here in Winnipeg. I agree, she is very deep and her more current perceptions of debt as well as other numerous aspects of the human condition through her writing has been incredibly impressive.
@@TheLategates thank you, exactly!!
(funny-just before reading your comment I gave someone a "huh" as well... lol)
She is brilliant. He is a dullard.
She has talent. He doesn't.
Love Strombo. Love Atwood. Worst interview I've ever seen him give. She uses his name when it's obvious that George is thinking about other things instead of this interview. It's a shame.
Huh? No doubt you're making an assumption. You see what you want to see.
