It takes a lot to impress me, but I jokingly asked you how old you were and I can't believe you answered. Now I'm really impressed! To be so young and appreciate the things you do. Wow!
🤔 JUST WHY ? would ANY SANE person believe it’s a good idea to demolish this newer home with this much CHARACTER going for it which is HIGHLY UNUSUAL it’s just SENSELESS / WASTEFUL unnecessarily adding to landfills 😒
This is definitely not the average, or even typical upscale home of that era, it's pretty exceptional, full of incredible and beautiful details that give it loads of character! The real crime here, is that it would be demolished!
Still is a high end house. Age doesn’t diminish class. It’s crazy to demolish perfectly good quality homes because we’ve been conditioned to think we need the latest new thing. I would love that home and be thrilled to live in it. My house was built in the 70’s. I’m perfectly happy with it. The idea we are so conservation conscious is laughable when I see these perfectly good homes being destroyed for nothing but greed. Beautiful home.
When I see a house that pricey, and see unfinished raw space, it tells me the money probably started to dwindle. "For a while there they were really living high" Sad it only lasted a short time for them. Imagine a family of three with that much room. Wow. Cheers Ethan...
As I have stated before, I'm no fan oh huge homes or even newer homes, but this house is gorgeous & still in livable condition! That kitchen got me. The cooking I could do in there. Hell, I'd probably just live in that kitchen 😂. The only 2 things I was not crazy about was the laundry being in the basement & the basement not being finished. Otherwise, it's a lively large home.
No, that beautiful room at the front with the fireplace is not a family room, it is a formal living room. It is the one you use when you have guests over. The room in the back by the kitchen is the family room. It is for informal living.
The drawing, as you referred to, are blue lines. Most people refer to them as blue print but they aren't. Blue prints have background blue. On this the lines are blue. Very interesting that it's still in home. Should have date on it, which you noticed. The ones that have black lines on them are copies of the original. In California, southern, there were a lot of homes given away in lottery drawings. Home were much larger and more expensive than normal homes. Though the homes were basically free, and completely furnished, the property taxes, insurance, and upkeep on them were so much that people found they couldn't afford them, which was sad. Builders should have built a nice home that people could afford but didn't. Hopefully wherever the family is now they're happy. Enjoyed video.
What a nice house! I only didn’t like the road noise and the close proximity of the neighboring house. Everything inside was really perfect. Love all the tray ceilings. LOVE all the matching chandeliers ant would have loved to see the house with all of them shining the lovely reflection of all the crystals. Love the kitchen. Love the fireplaces. What a shame to waste all that basement space. Could imagine a sitting are around a big stone fireplace. A nice bar and pool table/gaming area and a kids area. Would all have been a nice bonus area down there. It’s such a waste to demo this fine home along with all the resources it took to create it. Watched a video a few days ago from the UK where a couple was restoring 400 yr old ruins of a house that had no roof etc. was a shell that barely had walls and it turned out so amazing and in your area they tear down perfect 20 yr homes. I’ll never understand. Wish some houses could just be picked up and moved. Thanks for sharing this Ethan. Just ignore people with negative comments. Your respectful honest character speaks for itself! Take care, be well, and stay safe!!
Love the sink and the two tone fireplace❤ Ethan, just want to thank you for allowing closed captioning on your videos. It really helps for people with hearing and cognitive impairments.
Oh wow, love that house.the kitchen is cool and I can picture a christmas tree in the bay window. In the front entrance.,the chandeliers are gorgeous.Awesome thank you Ethan 👍❤️🇺🇸
I agree with you about the dark and light wood, in the kitchen, not looking good. It was the 1st thing I noticed when you went into the kitchen. I prefer it all to be the dark color cabinets. I have been watching your videos, for several months, and you do a great job. 👍👍
Great house Ethan! Nice walk through! What a waste! With a bit of TLC this house could be liveable again! Nice yard space too! If it was my house I would definitely be putting ceiling fans in all the rooms!
Gorgeous house. Love the kitchen. Ethan you know better to open the fridge. What a shame it’s going to be demolished. Love the upstairs. My house was built 2004 and it’s not as big as that. Thanks for the video 🎉😊❤
It's too bad that the people who owned these beautiful homes, young or old, didn't appreciate them because those of us who cannot afford such a large beautiful home would cherish it. And I feel bad for those who the developers ruined their neighborhood and forced them to sell.😢
Hi Ethan, love this house and that kitchen!! The decoration behind the desk is actually used like a corkboard. You could pin messages or what not on it. Amazing explore! 🧡🏡🏘
Really liked this one, lol I was waiting to see if you were going to stick with not opening fridges or go for it. Those chairs down stairs was just beautiful and I really like the master bedroom, all of it was cool.
Ethan. Bidets are not weird. I love mine and I dont know how I ever lived without it. Just ask any woman how mice it is to freshen up any time of day without an entire shower!
Hi Ethan..house is beautiful and enormous...such high ceilings ..staircase✅️ kitchen✅️except fir the brown island... lovely and light...thank you for sharing and wearing the cowboy hat 🤠...stay safe well and happy 💋
Hi ETHAN ! GREAT LAST LOOK AT SUCH A MAGNIFICENT HOME, TO ONLY BE DESTROYED. IT'S LITERALLY SICKENING 😢 I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT THE KITCHEN ISLAND-MISMATCH AT IT'S WORST! FABULOUS VIDEO AGAIN ETHAN , FROM PENNSYLVANIA THANKS SO MUCH- ENJOYED ALOT !!!!
As always, this is too much house for my taste or needs, but still SO interesting to see how some people live. My favorite part of this one was the basement, and I made it into an awesome apartment in my mind. LOL. That stain in the entry hall is absolutely blood, no question. And the concrete rooms make me wonder what this guy was into.
That kitchen colour palette comes from a momentary trend of using two types of wood or two paint colours, to make the island look like a separate piece of furniture. It lasted ten minutes.
Interesting.. Did you see the letters RIP downstairs in the basement written on the wall? That’s creepy. I did see the blood in the hallway.. I love your videos!!
lol so I started watching this video earlier on in the day but then had to go to work and am now just sitting down to watch the rest of it, I had forgotten about that cowboy hat then you what’s upped in the mirror in the bathroom and that gave me a good laugh 😂
Hey Ethan, what a beautiful house, such a shame to destroy something so new that doesn't even show signs of decay. BTW love the cowboy hat, it suits you
So sad it's being torn down 😢. I really loved the kitchen 😊. I liked the floral sink also!! The only thing I thought was weird was the faucet on the master bathtub. Seems like it would be awkward to step around it to get in the tub 😮 Good video Ethan 😊
if they had cut back a little on the house, maybe they could have not gonen bankrupt. Such a lovely house. the removed e;ectric switches might have been done when they removed nice light fixtures as a safety measure the lowerlevel could have been planned as a separate living area for maybe grandparents
Hello Ethan What a beautiful home! I love the curtains in that home! The kitchen is awesome I think the cabinets were all dark at one point. I said put the hat on Ethan and you did 🤣🤣🤣 You could had took the hydrogenproxcide in that kitchen cabinet and put it on the spots u think is blood! It will foam up if it's blood! Beautiful home shame its being torn down
Very formal entrance with formal living room...for acquaintances; that's as far as they get!😊 Friends get further to actual living area!? What a great kitchen!!
Yes I agree I do not like that middle isle in the kitchen. Lots of dark wood furniture that I don't like other wise a beautiful house lovely stairways that is the only place where I like the dark wood on the banister, tastefully decorated lots of lovely chandelier. Great video Ethan thank you.
I loved your video on this house! It’s beautiful maybe though for me it would be just a little too big. And that basement would have made a really nice rec room!!
The island so different in that kitchen, it looks like an after thought. Someone went to the store and said I'll have that. Does not really make it seem like part of the kitchen. That room with the soundproofing, might have been a music room. My daughters husband, and all 3 of her kids play instruments. That room could have been an a practice room. As far as the weird stain on the entrance floor is probably leakage, from a plastic bag, when they packed up stuff to throw out. I have seen a stains just like that. Beautiful home. Greed rules all, when it comes to resale and property development. Why sell a house for say 2 million when you can bulldoze it and make condos you can sell for that same price each?. Money money money. I wonder of all the beautiful homes you have seen demolished, what the developments really ended up being like. If they were successfully built and sold. If they were quality built or cheaply made. If the builders lost money.. I really feel its a sinful waste to tear down non derilict buildings. Such a waste of resources. All about global warming, nothing about wasting resources to just make cash. What a crock. Sorry my soap box. Love every thing you show us Ethan. Thank you so very much. Blessings to you. Stay safe and healthy.
What is the story about the “bankrupt lottery house” and “ crime scene”? Do have the history on that? Houses like this are wonderful and fun for entertaining. But, the taxes can put you in the poor house. The draperies were expensive and custom made. I would have put a movie theater in the big room in the basement. Thanks for the great and detailed tour!
I Love and want this house it was well designed and the interior is timeless classy. So my style. It looks like they ran out of money to finish the basement , neither the less its still a beautiful home mins of course the big blood stain. Great Video Ethan.
Wow, the exterior is all brick, too. People rarely spend for that these days. It was meant to be around a long time. Such a shame because it’s gorgeous!
Hey Ethan, I just wanna let you know I love love love watching your RUclips channel. I have one question in the intro of this video I saw in the background behind you a diecast Ford Explorer. Where did you get that? That looks really cool love you bro.
It's a shame this is being demolished, considering a house like this was built to last 100+ years. I doubt whatever replaces this will be in such immaculate condition after 20 years, and will probably lack the charm that this house has. Personally I like the contrast between the rest of the kitchen cabinets and the island, I know a lot of people think it looks super tacky but I'd feel like it would be boring if everything matched. Idk, just my opinion😂 and fun fact, that dimmer switch looking thing on the wall in the front room is actually what controlled the speakers in the ceiling (which have obviously been ripped out). Most whole-house audio systems back in the day were set up like this so the volume could be controlled/turned off in each room, and they were hardwired to a central stereo. Of course these type of systems are a relic of the past now that everyone uses home automation and wireless speakers (even stereos are nearly obsolete in 2024 lol). For 2003, this house was pretty far ahead of its time. Ethan it must be hot where you are because of the ceiling fan running. Unfortunately where we live in the US we don't have AC so we are going to have 90 degree days so it going to be very hot
There's really no reason to tear them down they can make even more money reselling it after fixing it up I hate to see these these Mansions the Beautiful Homes demolished just for the land
Wow amazing home 4 floors wow i have lived in a home jus like this altho it was one of the original house that was made in before great Falls was Great falls. That new home smell i get it Ethan .That kitchen im neeeding 1 just like that space for my cookware and other items i dont hav any space in my tiny kitchen sad to say it only fits 1 person at a time.Love your videos and I love you Ethan take care be safe your@ friend Barbie NWP, FL

It takes a lot to impress me, but I jokingly asked you how old you were and I can't believe you answered. Now I'm really impressed! To be so young and appreciate the things you do. Wow!
Time Gone By. It's Sad. All The Beautiful Homes That Were Not Loved. I Would Loved To Cook Thanksgiving Dinner Here.

the padded decoration is a message board. you tuck notes, pictures, etc under the ribbons.

Great video as always Ethan and thank you for sharing this video with us 👍❤️😎
Love this mansion. Don't like the dark brown in kitchen. Chandeliers are stunning. Awesome video!!! Keep them coming!!
Lots of blood in the garage and entryway. Curious to know what happened

What a nice house, too bad it's gone.
Also what type of Crime Scene are you referring to?
Nice home you make a good cowboy
Nice house
Perhaps they were cheap, and salvaged even the light fixtures 😂
I love your videos Ethan.
